This role involves designing and executing test plans for onboard chargers, high-voltage power electronics, and related vehicle charging components. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, operate test equipment, analyze data, conduct QA testing and contribute to the advancement of Lucid’s EV technology. Key Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Conduct QA testing to verify system functionality, reliability, and compliance</li> <li>Develop and execute test plans for HV powertrain components, such as the onboard chargers and V2X features.</li> <li>Operate and maintain high-voltage test equipment, power supplies, electronic loads, and mechanical test setups.</li> <li>Perform validation and safety testing, including electrical, thermal, and mechanical assessments.</li> <li>Collaborate with engineers and vendors to define test methodologies and ensure compliance with standards such as J1772, ISO 15118, and J3400</li> <li>Support hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) / High Voltage Buck testing of the charging system, implementing automated test cases.</li> <li>Design, build, and maintain automated test benches for both high and low-voltage systems.</li> <li>Data logging and data distillation using tools like Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, Canape, Canaylzer.</li> <li>Work on deep dives and root cause analysis to resolve issues on vehicle and standalone units.</li> <li>Ensure proper documentation of test procedures, results, and design improvements.</li> </ul> Qualifications: <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar technical field is required.  Master's degree or higher education is preferred. </li> <li>5+ years of experience in battery software testing or automotive embedded systems.</li> <li>Proficiency in Vector CANoe, CANape, Canalyzer for testing and simulations.</li> <li>Experience with High Voltage battery software testing, including safety protocols, PPE usage, and emergency procedures.</li> <li>Expertise in MATLAB Simulink family of tools for model-based software verification</li> <li>Strong understanding of battery parameters: voltage, current, capacity, energy, SOC, SOE, SOP, SOH, and charge/discharge characteristics.</li> <li>Familiarity with networking devices and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, RS-232, USB, OBD, Automotive Ethernet).</li> <li>Ability to design and build test benches and integrate test automation tools.</li> <li>Excellent documentation skills for test planning, execution, and reporting.</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><div> <div>Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.</div> </div> <div> </div></div><div class="title">Base Pay Range (Annual)</div><div class="pay-range">$158,400—$217,800 USD</div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><div> Compensation & Benefits: Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive <a id="menur13jl" class="fui-Link ___1q1shib f2hkw1w f3rmtva f1ewtqcl fyind8e f1k6fduh f1w7gpdv fk6fouc fjoy568 figsok6 f1s184ao f1mk8lai fnbmjn9 f1o700av f13mvf36 f1cmlufx f9n3di6 f1ids18y f1tx3yz7 f1deo86v f1eh06m1 f1iescvh fhgqx19 f1olyrje f1p93eir f1nev41a f1h8hb77 f1lqvz6u f10aw75t fsle3fq f17ae5zn" href="https://mylucidbenefits.com/" target="_blank">benefits package</a> including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays, paid sick leave; and a 401(k) retirement plan.
