This is not a civilian or student internship.   Opportunities Available Junior Estimator: The Junior Estimator supports the estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for construction projects. Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specifications, analyzing subcontractor bids, assisting with scope comparisons, and supporting bid submissions. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.   DoD SkillBridge Eligibility <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Demonstrate interest in construction management or the construction industry</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Have served at least 180 days on active duty</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Be eligible to participate during the final six months of military service prior to separation or retirement</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Be expected to receive an honorable discharge</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Have completed the Transition Assistance Program (TAP/TGPS)</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Have attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of the internship</li> </ul>   Computer Systems  <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;" data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="4" data-list-defn-props="{"335552541":1,"335559685":720,"335559991":360,"469769226":"Symbol","469769242":[8226],"469777803":"left","469777804":"","469777815":"hybridMultilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="1" data-aria-level="1">Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Microsoft Project and Procore (preferred but not required) </li> </ul>   This is an unpaid internship through the Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge Program. The intern selected for this role will not receive compensation or benefits from JRM Construction Management and will not be an employee, agent, or contractor of JRM Construction Management but rather will remain an employee of the DoD and will receive compensation and benefits through the DoD. SkillBridge graduates hired into a Junior Estimator role in New York City can expect a salary range of $65,000 to $90,000.
