If you want to grow and do meaningful work, you’ll feel at home here.&nbsp;</p> <hr></div><p><strong>Build a Safety Career That Makes a Real Impact</strong></p> <p>As a&nbsp;<strong>Safety Technician II</strong> at Interstates, you’ll help protect people, support field teams, and strengthen a culture where safety comes first. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being in the field, solving problems, and building trusted relationships across the job site.</p> <p>You’ll partner with site leadership and field teams to identify hazards, strengthen safety practices, and help ensure every person on site has the tools and support needed to work safely.</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Oversee day-to-day safety operations on a construction site</li> <li>Instruct site management to identify and immediately correct unsafe working conditions or equipment</li> <li>Lead investigations of unsafe acts and accidents to determine root cause and corrective actions</li> <li>Monitor and promote on-site safety audits</li> <li>Lead site safety meetings</li> <li>Train interns or Safety Technician I team members</li> <li>Work with site management to ensure safety equipment and supplies are available on site</li> <li>Assist with root cause analysis meetings and documentation</li> <li>Manage site-specific injuries and accidents with limited direction</li> </ul> <p><strong>Travel Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>This role requires 100% travel within the United States.</li> <li>Projects may require travel for extended periods of time, depending on scope and schedule.</li> <li>Work across a variety of industries and project types</li> <li>This position is ideal for someone who enjoys travel, variety, and field-based work.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What Success Looks Like in This Role</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead independently and make sound decisions</li> <li>Stay visible and engaged in the field</li> <li>Drive investigations and corrective actions</li> <li>Support training and compliance</li> <li>Build trust with crews and site leadership</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in safety, Occupational Safety &amp; Health, or related field</li> <li>OR OSHA 510 certification</li> <li>OR equivalent combination of education and field experience</li> <li>Construction safety experience</li> <li>NFPA/70E training</li> <li>30-hour OSHA training</li> <li>Willingness to travel nationwide</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and regulations</li> <li>Ability to write reports and procedures</li> <li>Ability to calculate OSHA incident rates and percentages</li> <li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, SharePoint, and general computer applications</li> <li>Sound judgment, strong prioritization skills, and ability to work well under pressure</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Previous construction safety experience</li> <li>CPR and First Aid certification</li> <li>Experience supporting incident investigations</li> <li>Comfort presenting to groups or leading toolbox talks</li> <li>Experience training interns or junior team members</li> <li>Familiarity with behavioral-based safety practices</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation</strong></p> <ul> <li>$33 - $36/hr, compensation is based on experience and may vary based on skill level, certifications, and project responsibilities</li> <li>Bonus potential</li> <li>Per diem, as applicable</li> <li>Opportunities for increased responsibility and compensation growth</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Interstates?</strong></p> <ul> <li>We describe our culture as family-like, and we mean it</li> <li>You’re treated as an individual, not a number</li> <li>Supportive co-workers who genuinely care</li> <li>Opportunities to grow your career and expand your impact</li> <li>A company committed to safety, teamwork, and doing the right thing</li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits</strong></p> <ul> <li>401(k) with company match</li> <li>Health, Dental, and Vision insurance</li> <li>Paid Time Off &amp; Holiday Pay</li> <li>Bonus incentives and merit increases</li> <li>Career coaching and professional development</li> <li>Advancement opportunities</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who Thrives in This Role?</strong></p> <ul> <li>People who are proactive, dependable, and detail-oriented</li> <li>Strong communicators who can coach and influence others</li> <li>Team members who enjoy field work and hands-on problem-solving</li> <li>Safety-minded professionals who want to make a measurable impact on every jobsite</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p>&nbsp;</p> <p><img style="max-width: 100%;" src="https://com-interstates-cdn-2023.s3.amazonaws.com/general-uploads/Logos/Interstates_EB_Tagline_Horiz_RGB_Web_sm.png" alt="Interstates.
