Maintenance Technician at Veterinary Practice Partners

Weather will impact arrival and departure times, as snow removal is part of the job. Sidewalks and paths need to be cleared of snow prior to surgery drop offs at 7:30am.</p> <div> <p><strong>Requirements: </strong>Must be able to lift 60 pounds and be comfortable working on your feet, bending, lifting, and kneeling.</p> </div> <div> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintaining the cleanliness of the hospital each day: sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming facility spaces; emptying trash containers.</li> <li>Cleaning equipment and facilities using chemicals and supplies; understands the importance of safety of use of chemicals in our facility.</li> <li>Understanding and carrying out the daily, weekly, and monthly task list to maintain the hospital cleanliness, the equipment, and overall appearance of the hospital.</li> <li>Maintaining laundry for the kennel, grooming and hospital.</li> <li>Maintaining the grounds of the property including waste disposal, light maintenance of landscape upkeep and general building maintenance.</li> <li>Maintaining non-medical inventory and notifies Practice Manager of purchase needs.</li> <li>Notifies Practice Manager concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.</li> <li>May perform minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.</li> <li>May clean snow and debris from sidewalk and mow lawn, trim shrubbery, and cultivate flowers using hand tools and power tools.</li> <li>May tend furnace, air conditioner, and boiler to provide heat, cool air, and hot water.</li> </ul> </div> <p><strong>About Superior Animal Hospital<br></strong>We are an AAHA-accredited practice that has been voted “Best of the Best” Veterinary Clinic in the Twin Ports area.
