Software Engineer at Navan

We are looking for a passionate Full-Stack Engineer to lead, design and development of core product features and services that power our app used by thousands of travelers on a daily basis. You will work closely with a set of talented engineers, product managers and designers to identify customer needs and build innovative solutions to solve them.<br><br><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong><br>● Design, build and evolve the core backend and frontend of our platform in a scalable and<br>reliable way.<br>● Build AI-powered features using multi-agent architectures and LLM integrations to deliver intelligent,<br>conversational experiences.<br>● Technically own problem domain: facilitate design, development, and launch of key<br>microservices in the domain.<br>● Work cross-functionally with various engineering and product teams to deliver cross-<br>domain features.<br>● Work with the leadership to identify, plan, and execute long-term vision.<br>● Be the Subject Matter Expert of the domain under ownership.<br><br><strong>What We're Looking For:</strong><br>● At least 3+ years of experience in software development.<br>● At least 2+ years of experience in FE development using Angular, typescript, and React. familiarity with both is a plus.<br>● Experience with Spring Framework and Hibernate <strong>or similar</strong> ORM technologies.<br>● Strong programming skills and CS fundamentals.<br>● Hands-on experience or a strong interest in agentic AI systems (LangChain, agent frameworks, prompt engineering) and AI coding tools (Claude Code, Copilot) is a strong plus.<br>● Deep understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures.<br>● Strong sense of ownership demonstrated through shipping production-quality code equipped with testing, monitoring and documentation.<br>● Passion for investigating and solving problems and willingness to learn and utilize new tools and technologies.<br>● Team player with strong communication.<br>● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.<br>● Experience working at scale.<br>● Experience with AWS and/or distributed systems is a plus.<br><br></p>
