This position offers the opportunity to work closely with clients in a collaborative, office-based environment, helping to strengthen relationships and expand our growing real estate niche. You will oversee full-cycle accounting operations, serve as the primary point of contact for business owners and stakeholders, and guide a team of junior accountants through training, development, and performance excellence. We’re seeking a solutions-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, excels in client service, and is passionate about optimizing processes and delivering consistent, accurate financial results.</div> <p><strong><span data-ccp-props="{"134245418":true,"134245529":true,"201341983":0,"335559738":240,"335559739":120,"335559740":240}"><span class="TextRun SCXW232047703 BCX0" lang="EN-US" data-contrast="auto"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW232047703 BCX0">Duties & Responsibilities:</span></span></span></strong></p> <ul> <li> <div class="x_elementToProof"> <div>Oversee full-cycle accounting for real estate clients, including property-level accounting, general ledger maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting.</div> </div> </li> <li> <div class="x_elementToProof"> <div>Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, investors, developers, and property management teams, delivering exceptional client service and strategic guidance.</div> </div> </li> <li> <div>Manage accounting for real estate portfolios, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, tenant activity, and capital improvement expenditures.</div> </li> <li> <div>Review bank reconciliations, escrow accounts, management fee calculations, sales tax filings, and other real estate-related accounting activities.</div> </li> <li> <div class="x_elementToProof">Manage and train junior accountants to foster a high-performance team environment, including provide feedback for growth and development.</div> </li> <li> <div class="x_elementToProof">Review monthly financial statements for business owners and stakeholders.</div> </li> <li> <div class="x_elementToProof">Formulate customized solutions for clients based on client data and goals.</div> </li> <li>Stay informed on accounting standards, regulatory changes, and compliance requirements to proactively advise clients.</li> <li> <div class="x_elementToProof">Optimize workflow processes by following best practices to maximize efficiency and reduce errors</div> </li> <li> <div class="x_elementToProof"> <div>Deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality financial information while consistently exceeding client expectations and fostering long-term client relationships.</div> </div> </li> </ul> <p><strong><span data-ccp-props="{"134245418":true,"134245529":true,"201341983":0,"335559738":240,"335559739":120,"335559740":240}">Education & Experience: </span></strong></p> <ul data-editing-info="{"applyListStyleFromLevel":true}"> <li> <div class="x_elementToProof">Bachelor's degree in Accounting</div> </li> <li> <div class="x_elementToProof">CPA license preferred</div> </li> <li> <div class="x_elementToProof">6+ years of experience in public accounting, consulting, or outsourced accounting environments</div> </li> <li>Real Estate-industry experience required</li> <li> <div class="x_elementToProof">Proficiency with Yardi required</div> </li> <li> <div class="x_elementToProof">Experience with accounting software preferred (e.g. QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, Foundations, Xero, Netsuite)</div> </li> <li> <div class="x_elementToProof">Ability to design and implement efficient, scalable accounting processes </div> </li> <li> <div class="x_elementToProof">Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail</div> </li> <li> <div class="x_elementToProof">Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment</div> </li> <li> <div class="x_elementToProof">Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously</div> </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><span data-ccp-props="{"134245418":true,"134245529":true,"201341983":0,"335559738":240,"335559739":120,"335559740":240}"><span data-teams="true">#LI - hybrid</span></span></p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
