As a Senior Software Engineer/Developer, you will perform as an individual contributor and team member focused on developing and refining a command-and-control platform used by a wide variety of stakeholders.&nbsp; Soliciting and incorporating user feedback is paramount in developing a superior product.&nbsp; Ideal candidates will have full stack development experience, with demonstrated skills developing front-end applications and user interfaces, as well as employing back-end technologies and programming languages.</p> <p><strong>What You'll be Owning</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Design and develop applications, tools, and user interfaces supporting advanced data processing and command-and-control workflows&nbsp;</li> <li>Engage proactively with mission partners to understand operational use cases and convert high-level requirements into actionable features, work products, and technical specifications</li> <li>Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams to define interface control documents (ICDs), subsystem behaviors, and integration patterns</li> <li>Develop CONOPs, user guides, release notes, and technical artifacts supporting software delivery and stakeholder adoption</li> <li>Architect and optimize large scale data analysis pipelines using OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, and distributed data technologies&nbsp;</li> <li>Evaluate application architecture and code design, identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations that improve efficiency, scalability, and maintainability&nbsp;</li> <li>Build and refine back end services and APIs that support high-performance data workflows&nbsp;</li> <li>Help guide testing strategies, diagnose complex issues, and ensure delivery of stable, high-reliability software&nbsp;</li> <li>Mentor junior developers, foster a high performing engineering culture, and support professional growth across the team</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You Must Have</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Active TS/SCI with polygraph&nbsp;</li> <li>7+ years of software engineering experience in fast-paced, collaborative environments&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong proficiency in Python and Java&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience building React front end applications and Django back end services&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with DevOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment&nbsp;</li> <li>Full stack development experience across front end and back end systems&nbsp;</li> <li>Recent experience building applications, analysis tools, or mission-focused software&nbsp;</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field</li> </ul> <p><strong>What Would be Nice to Have</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of OpenSearch/Elasticsearch indexing, search, and analytics&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to reverse engineer applications and understand legacy systems&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with messaging/task queues (Kafka, gRPC, Celery)&nbsp;</li> <li>Proficiency with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with databases or data stores (MariaDB, MySQL, ValKey, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, InfluxDB, MongoDB)&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with Open Telemetry (OTel) or similar observability framework&nbsp;</li> <li>Familiarity with collaboration and issue tracking tools such as GitLab, Jira, and Confluence&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of telecommunications and/or Internet protocols</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><strong>Pay Range:&nbsp;</strong>At GRVTY, we understand that compensation is influenced by many factors—such as geographic location, federal contract labor categories, wage rates, prior experience, skillsets, education, and certifications.<br>We’re proud to offer a work environment that empowers our team to achieve a strong work-life balance.
