<p>South Park, Charlotte, NC (in office 4 days a week)</p>
<p><strong> </strong>Amwins Group, Inc. is conducting a candidate search looking for a<strong> </strong>Payroll Specialist for our offices located in South Park Charlotte, NC.</p>

<p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p>
<p><strong> </strong>The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the processing and completion of weekly/semi payroll duties and supporting the Senior Payroll Analysts on the team. The position requires a good working knowledge of payroll best practices and good knowledge of federal and state regulations.</p>
<p><strong> </strong><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Maintain timely, accurate, compliant, and confidential payroll processes</li>
<li>Maintain compliance with company policies, and applicable local, state, and federal laws</li>
<li>Accountable for maintaining integrity of employee data in the Payroll system</li>
<li>Support the payroll team with weekly payroll processing</li>
<li>Review timesheets and attendance records and correct inaccuracies</li>
<li>Prepare for and process payroll with accuracy</li>
<li>Prepare payroll records for weekly terminations</li>
<li>Ensuring all reports payroll reports are run, logged and saved accordingly</li>
<li>May be asked to support SM processing as needed</li>
<li>General duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>1- 2 years’ work experience in multi-state payroll</li>
<li>Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills</li>
<li>Demonstrated organizational abilities</li>
<li>Must be proficient with Excel: pivot tables and v-lookups</li>
<li>Professional with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information</li>
<li>Ability to interact with employees at all levels of the company in a professional and courteous manner</li>
<li>Understanding of multi state payroll taxes</li>
</ul>
