This role focuses on building the software that powers radar applications—including mission software, data processing pipelines, user-facing tools, and system integration. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in modern software development practices, experience with reproducible build and deployment environments using Nix and NixOS, and a passion for solving complex problems in the radar and sensor domain</p> <h2 id="RadarSoftwareEngineer-WHATYOUWILLDO"><strong>WHAT YOU WILL DO</strong></h2> <ul> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="d40f5dec-8ac3-4dfe-8377-48da11697711">Design, develop, test, and maintain application-level software for radar systems, with a focus on maintainability, testability, reliability, and performance.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="2776b10b-9d46-4c41-968f-bf7ce11fa6f8">Build and enhance radar applications, including data processing workflows, mission-level software, configuration tools, and operator-facing interfaces.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="3ea61888-9344-41c1-b459-f14726d3c477">Contribute to a scalable software platform with well-defined APIs that enable reusable building blocks adaptable for various radar products and applications.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="08891bfb-337d-4b68-93ec-99ddda3319ea">Define and document APIs for component-to-component communication and for integration with external systems and third-party consumers.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="386ea090-d700-4342-9e12-9771c5bc724d">Develop and maintain reproducible build, packaging, and deployment workflows using Nix&nbsp;to ensure consistency across development, test, and production environments.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="337db4c4-c958-4977-b35c-7c54774cd78a">Lead performance analysis and optimization of radar application software, focusing on efficient data handling and processing throughput.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="9404c348-d515-4105-8898-9efd64da0d69">Champion software development best practices, including coding standards, design patterns, version control, automated testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="e4df932a-6511-4388-a07a-a335a01c1e0f">Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including signal processing engineers, algorithm specialists, systems engineers, and product managers—to translate requirements into well-designed software.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="b28424bd-facf-4dbc-a594-06e73fe3f439">Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making across the team.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="3bea3e73-b7fd-472d-8783-e96b08e25985">Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends in radar software, distributed systems, and sensor applications to drive innovation.</li> </ul> <h2 id="RadarSoftwareEngineer-REQUIREDSKILLS"><strong>REQUIRED SKILLS</strong></h2> <ul> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="1684e002-12db-4838-ad70-499a3b85d226">Experience: At least 5 years of professional software development experience.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="f9f4664c-eb52-459c-9d0a-664ef7d51552">Software Development Fundamentals: Strong understanding of software design principles, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="23cf384a-ab31-4ee8-bff6-b5616b2b8f19">Languages: Proficiency in C++.
