Apply today and help us shape the future of work—together</p> <p>&nbsp;</p></div><p><strong>SUMMARY:</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>New Era Technology is seeking one (or more)&nbsp;qualified Network Engineer resources to undertake and assist in end-to-end network installations and deployments at&nbsp;new&nbsp;facilities&nbsp;for a large financial client as a dedicated resource.&nbsp;Initially this is intended to be U.S. – based and includes the new Dallas, Texas office building complex currently under construction with an anticipated occupancy beginning in late 2027 into 2028. Other U.S. data center locations in the New Jersey / metro New York City area may become in scope as well as other new or existing facility locations to be determined. The resource should&nbsp;possess all qualifications listed for candidacy.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>PRIMARY DUTIES:</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Lead the end-to-end network deployment for designated office location(s).&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Liaise with and report status to Goldman Sachs’ Network Engineering on all project assignments&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Drive project implementation, ensuring timely delivery and successful integration of all network components.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Act as the primary technical point of contact for network-related aspects of the office build-out.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Coordinate and manage relationships with telecom carriers for circuit installations, provisioning, and troubleshooting.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Ensure all network deployments adhere to established security policies and best practices.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>COMPENTENCY:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Required Technical Skills &amp; Knowledge:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Cisco Network Equipment: Extensive hands-on experience with the configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of Cisco routers and switches (e.g., Catalyst and, Nexus series).&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>BGP Routing: In-depth knowledge and practical experience with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) for enterprise network environments, including peering, route manipulation, and troubleshooting.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>VRFs (Virtual Routing and Forwarding): Proven experience in designing, configuring, and managing VRF instances for network segmentation.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Aruba Wireless: Expertise in deploying, configuring, and managing Aruba wireless access points, controllers (e.g., Mobility Controllers, Gateways), and Aruba Central.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>QoS (Quality of Service): Strong understanding and practical experience with QoS policies, traffic shaping, and prioritization for voice, video, and data applications.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>IP Address Management (IPAM): Proficient in IP address planning, subnetting, allocation, and management within an enterprise network.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Network Security Fundamentals: Solid understanding of network security principles, including access control lists (ACLs), VPNs, and basic firewall concepts.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Network Monitoring &amp; Troubleshooting: Experience with network monitoring tools and methodologies for proactive issue identification and rapid resolution.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desired Technical Skills (Plus):</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Segment Routing: Familiarity or experience with Segment Routing technologies (e.g., SR-MPLS).&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Firewall Management: Experience with enterprise-grade firewalls (e.g., Juniper).&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Automation: Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Ansible) for network automation tasks.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 10+ years of experience in network engineering, with a significant focus on deploying and managing user office networks.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Demonstrated ability to independently manage and deliver complex network projects from design to operational handover.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Proven track record of successfully interacting with and managing third-party vendors, including telecom carriers.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Professional &amp; Soft Skills:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Project Ownership: Ability to drive projects to completion with minimal oversight and take full ownership of deliverables.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Organization &amp; Attention to Detail: Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail in network design, configuration, documentation, and inventory management.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.&nbsp; Proactive and timely escalation of issues for review and resolution.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Collaboration: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a broader IT team.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Documentation: Proficient in creating and maintaining comprehensive network documentation (e.g., diagrams, configurations, runbooks).&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Certifications (Preferred):</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Cisco Certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP Enterprise)&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Aruba Certifications (e.g., ACMA, ACMP)&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>REQUIRED EDUCATION:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>Minimum of Bachelors Degree Required.
