This position involves overseeing EHS protocols at a specific site, ensuring the site adheres to the highest standards of workplace safety and health. By conducting regular audits, providing training, and implementing EHS programs, the EHS Coordinator II works to minimize risks, reduce workplace accidents, and maintain a safe, healthy environment for all employees. Through collaboration with various departments and site leadership teams, this role supports the organization’s commitment to safety, demonstrating the importance of proactive measures in safeguarding the well-being of its workforce.</p> <p><strong>Essential Job Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>This position involves overseeing EHS protocols at a specific site, ensuring the site adheres to the highest standards of workplace safety and health</li> <li>By conducting regular audits, providing training, and implementing EHS programs, the EHS Coordinator II works to minimize risks, reduce workplace accidents, and maintain a safe, healthy environment for all employees</li> <li>Through collaboration with various departments and site leadership teams, this role supports the organization’s commitment to safety, demonstrating the importance of proactive measures in safeguarding the well-being of its workforce</li> </ul> <p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p> <p><strong>Required: </strong></p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>OSHA 30 required.</strong></li> <li><strong>Minimum 5 years prior experience working within the heavy industrial construction industry, including manufacturing, pipeline, mining, food and beverage, power, and refining environments with at least 3 years in a safety role.</strong></li> <li><strong>Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, standards, and other applicable codes/regulations.</strong></li> <li><strong>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</strong></li> <li><strong>Ability to assess potential hazards and risks within operations and develop and implement strategies to mitigate them effectively.</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p> <ul> <li>CSST or Equivalent</li> <li>MSHA Certification or background preferred.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</strong></p> <p>The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Outside most of the time.</li> <li>Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures</li> <li>Limited working surfaces</li> <li>Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors</li> <li>Exposure to areas with limited visibility</li> <li>Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights)</li> <li>Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks</li> <li>If driving is required, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability is required.
