If you’re interested in joining a high performing team, pushing the boundaries with a clean sheet development of re-usable liquid launch vehicle, this is your opportunity!</p> <p><strong>PRECISION CLEANING TECHNICIAN I</strong></p> <p>Based out of Rocket Lab Headquarters in Long Beach, California the Precision Cleaning Technician I will work with various fluid systems and sub-assembly components for the Rutherford and Archimedes Rocket engines.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO</strong></p> <ul> <li>Take responsibility for cleaning machined flight hardware components and assemblies.</li> <li>Work with major components of the Rutherford rocket engine, which are primarily 3D printed, including thrust chambers, injectors, main valves, and pump parts.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure precision and quality in all tasks.</li> </ul> <p><strong>YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS</strong><em>&nbsp;</em></p> <ul> <li>Experienced in precision cleaning, ultrasonic cleaners, degreasers, oxygen cleaning and clean room methodology/practices.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with bagging parts and generating accurate labels.</li> <li>Familiarity with cleanroom environments and protocols.</li> <li>Experience working with cleaning chemicals and adhering to proper handling procedures.</li> <li>Experience documenting daily activities.</li> </ul> <p><strong>THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE: </strong></p> <ul> <li>1+ years of experience in precision cleaning in aerospace industry.</li> <li>Knowledge of ultrasonic cleaning tanks.</li> <li>Understanding of non-volatile residue (NVR) processes.</li> <li>Experience with particle testing for parts.</li> </ul> <p><strong>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Willing to work 1st shift (Friday - Sunday 5:00am - 3:30pm)&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to travel and communicate outside of work hours</li> <li>Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed</li> <li>Repetitive assembly operations, grasping, standing, lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position.&nbsp;</li> <li>Must be able to move repetitively, bend or twist, and use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls.&nbsp;</li> <li>Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods – 8 hours min </li> <li>Must be able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted.&nbsp;</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p><em>Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.</em></p> <p><em>Base salary is just one component of our total rewards package at Rocket Lab.&nbsp; Employees may also receive company equity and access to a robust benefits package including: top tier medical HMO, PPO &amp; a 100% company-sponsored medical HSA plan option, dental and vision coverage, 3 weeks paid vacation and 5 days sick leave per year, 11 paid holidays per year, flexible spending and dependent care savings accounts, paid parental leave, disability insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
