This senior-level role will lead the execution of McAdams’ 2026 Energy Strategy, driving revenue expansion, increasing market share, and strengthening our statewide presence through strategic client engagement and exceptional project delivery. From exciting projects to a culture that embraces creativity, choosing McAdams means choosing a workplace where you’re not just an employee — you’re a vital piece of our success story.  We invest in leaders who want to build:  <ul> <li>Opportunities to shape strategy and grow a practice </li> <li>Exposure to high-impact projects across multiple market sectors </li> <li>A united, team-first culture </li> <li>A platform for long-term career growth and leadership development </li> </ul> See what our teammates have to say about their experience at McAdams: <a href="https://youtu.be/XnX3G3m75uU?si=sPyVjCetpQi0poYd">https://youtu.be/XnX3G3m75uU?si=sPyVjCetpQi0poYd</a>   What You’ll Do  <ul> <li>Strategic Growth + Business Development </li> <li>Lead execution of Phase 1 (Diversify Client Base) and Phase 2 (Expand Services) of McAdams’ Energy Strategy </li> <li>Build and maintain relationships with utilities, renewable energy developers, and EPC firms—specifically targeting NextEra — Lonestar, Oncor, and CoServ </li> <li>Develop teaming strategies with large energy firms to expand project pipelines </li> <li>Track MSA contract cycles with desired clients to position McAdams </li> <li>Team Building + Leadership </li> <li>Recruit, onboard, and retain high-performing professionals in site design, geomatics, entitlement, (Phase 1) environmental, and electrical engineering (Phase 2) </li> <li>Develop full-service energy teams in Texas </li> <li>Cultivate an internal culture that prioritizes safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement. </li> <li>Provide mentorship and coaching to emerging leaders in the energy practice </li> <li>Project Delivery + Operations </li> <li>Oversee project execution to ensure consistent quality, profitability, and on-time delivery </li> <li>Expand existing MSA contracts (e.g., Oncor) to include comprehensive site design and surveying services </li> <li>Ensure safety ratings are upheld across all regions and disciplines </li> <li>Provide technical and operational leadership on major initiatives like 765kV expansion projects </li> <li>Revenue + Profitability </li> <li>Grow current revenue (2024 – 5.4M, 2025 through June $2.7) to targets of $10M-$15M annually with profitability exceeding 10% </li> <li>Position the Energy Practice to contribute at least 10% of McAdams’ overall $150M revenue goal by 2028 </li> <li>Monitor and manage financial performance, including bookings, revenue, utilization, billing and backlog </li> </ul> What You’ll Bring  <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (PE licensure in FL and TX highly preferred) </li> <li>10+ years of experience in the energy sector with demonstrated business development success </li> <li>Established relationships within utility and renewable energy networks </li> <li>Experience building and managing cross-functional teams across multiple geographies </li> <li>Strong understanding of entitlement, permitting, and regulatory frameworks </li> <li>Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills </li> </ul> Work Environment + Physical Demands  The characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.
