<p><strong>Urgent Care Veterinarian – Mountain View Veterinary Hospital</strong></p> <p>Are you a veterinarian who enjoys the pace, variety, and clinical challenge of urgent care medicine? Do you like problem-solving in real time and having the support, tools, and team to handle cases in-house? <strong>Mountain View Veterinary Hospital</strong> in Lacey, Washington, is seeking an <strong>Urgent Care Veterinarian</strong> to join our well-established, <strong>6-doctor, AAHA-accredited</strong> practice.</p> <p>This role is primarily focused on urgent care, though we are absolutely open to candidates interested in a <strong>mix of General Practice and Urgent Care</strong>, depending on comfort level and professional interests. Whether you’re an experienced urgent care doctor or a GP looking to expand into more advanced, same-day cases with strong support, this is a great opportunity to practice meaningful medicine without unnecessary referrals.</p> <p><strong>Why This Role Is a Great Fit for You</strong></p> <p><strong>Urgent Care with Real Clinical Depth</strong></p> <p>Our hospital has the capability to manage a wide range of urgent and emergent cases <strong>in-house</strong>, and we generally do not refer many cases out to ER. Our team is comfortable handling advanced procedures such as <strong>GDVs, splenectomies, C-sections, blood transfusions</strong>, and more. Case involvement is always based on the individual DVM’s comfort level, and collaboration is readily available.</p> <p>Historically, we have treated many emergent cases that local ERs previously managed, and our team is well-equipped to continue doing so.</p> <p><strong>Common Urgent Care Cases You’ll See</strong></p> <p>Typical urgent care presentations include <strong>ear infections, vomiting, inappetence, lameness, diarrhea, skin conditions, ADRs, and toxicity cases</strong>, along with higher-acuity presentations when appropriate.</p> <p><strong>Strong Clinical Support</strong></p> <p>You’ll be supported by a highly experienced team, including <strong>7 licensed veterinary technicians</strong>, allowing you to practice efficiently and confidently without feeling stretched thin.</p> <p><strong>Schedule &amp; Coverage Expectations</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Four 10-hour shifts per week</strong><br>• <strong>Sunday coverage is required</strong><br>• Other days are negotiable<br>• In a perfect world, the schedule would be <strong>Friday through Monday</strong>, though flexibility exists<br>• Hospital hours are currently <strong>8:00am–7:00pm on weekdays</strong><br>• Weekend hours are expanding, with a goal of being open <strong>until 7:00pm on Saturdays and 6:00pm on Sundays</strong>, offering some flexibility as the schedule evolves</li> </ul> <p>This role is ideal for someone who enjoys weekend medicine and appreciates having consistency and clarity in scheduling.</p> <p><strong>Why You’ll Love Working Here</strong></p> <p><strong>Collaborative, Capable Team</strong></p> <p>Work alongside experienced doctors and technicians who value communication, teamwork, and mutual respect.
