The position is based in Bangalore, India, and will report to the Senior Director, Regulatory Counsel, APAC and SAMENA. What You’ll Be Responsible For: <div class="s8">• Providing legal advice to assist Payoneer in the evaluation and management of significant and complex payments and financial services industry regulatory matters in India</div> <div class="s8">• Supporting the CEO, Principal Officer and Nodal Officer of Payoneer India and the Indiacompliance, finance and other teams in the governance and day-to-day operations of Payoneer India, which has received in-principle authorisation as a Payment Aggregator – Cross Border </div> <div class="s8">• Corporate Secretary responsibilities, including Board of Directors meetings, minutes and adherence to regulatory requirements</div> <div class="s8">• Privacy and data protection legal support </div> <div class="s8">• Supporting business, marketing, and other teams with the development of new services and initiatives, and fostering strong relationships across multiple functional areas, including product and platform teams</div> <div class="s8">• Contributing to positive working relationships with Indian regulators, such as DPSS-RBI, FED RBI, FIU, CERSAI, MAS, CERT-In, and with industry initiatives such as the Payment Council of India</div> <div class="s8">• Researching, analysing, and determining effects of quickly evolving regulations in India, and keeping current on issues and upcoming regulatory changes that may impact Payoneer in India and Payoneer’s strategic goals and objectives and supporting the implementation of measures to ensure continued compliance</div> <div class="s8">• Supporting Legal and Regulatory Counsels in Payoneer and the Chief Legal and Regulatory Officer in formulating Payoneer’s regulatory and public policy strategy</div> What We’re Looking For: <div class="s9">• Fully qualified lawyer with excellent academic credentials, qualified in India, and with at least 8 years of post-admission experience practising as an attorney at a law firm or relevant in-house legal department. Financial services, payments, and fintech industry experience is preferred.</div> <div class="s9">• Experience working directly with regulators and regulatory authorities in India is an advantage, but not strictly required.</div> <div class="s9">• Solid understanding of RBI regulatory frameworks, with the ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements in a commercial context.</div> <div class="s10">• Ability to evaluate fact situations, identify legal issues, analyse and understand statutes, regulations and recommend appropriate courses of action.</div> <div class="s10">• Ability to provide practical legal advice and recommendations to internal stakeholders on matters of significant importance to the company.</div> <div class="s10">• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.</div> <div class="s10">• Ability to handle a diverse set of issues and provide a high level of service to internal customers in a friendly and professional manner.</div> <div class="s10">• An open communicator with skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.</div> <div class="s10">• Flexibility for occasional travel. </div>    <div class="content-conclusion">The Payoneer Ways of Working  Act as our customer’s partner on the inside Learning what they need and creating what will help them go further.  Do it.
