You’ll work hands-on with automated equipment and production systems, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and helping minimize downtime. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with complex systems, and being part of a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</p> <p><strong>The details</strong></p> <ul> <li>This role is located at the&nbsp;<strong>SLC Lab&nbsp;</strong>(2595 Custer Road SLC, UT 84104)</li> <li>Start Date: ASAP</li> <li>Shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7am-7pm</li> <li>Training Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8am-6pm</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Promote a safe work environment by following all safety procedures, policies, and SOPs</li> <li>Perform preventative and reactive maintenance, calibrations, inspections, and repairs on production and optical processing equipment</li> <li>Support production operations by balancing real-time troubleshooting with preventative maintenance initiatives to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency</li> <li>Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and automated production systems</li> <li>Locate, diagnose, and repair equipment failures using schematics, diagrams, manuals, specifications, diagnostic tools, and technical documentation</li> <li>Install, inspect, maintain, and repair production and support equipment while ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime</li> <li>Develop a strong understanding of equipment operations, system faults, calibrations, and manufacturer technical requirements</li> <li>Communicate with equipment manufacturers, vendors, and technical support teams to resolve equipment issues when necessary</li> <li>Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, preventative maintenance schedules, PM logs, repair records, and spare parts inventory</li> <li>Support continuous improvement efforts focused on equipment reliability, production efficiency, safety, and quality</li> <li>Partner with operators, leadership, vendors, and cross-functional teams to optimize operational performance and minimize production interruptions</li> <li>Assist in creating and updating standard operating procedures, work instructions, and maintenance documentation</li> <li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment</li> <li>Communicate equipment concerns, operational risks, and production impacts in a timely manner</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why we will love you&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma (or GED equivalent)</li> <li><strong>2–5 years</strong>&nbsp;of industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, production maintenance, or technical equipment repair experience preferred</li> <li>Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electro-mechanical systems preferred</li> <li>Familiarity with PLC systems, industrial automation equipment, HVAC, or CNC-type equipment is a plus</li> <li>Hustle and tireless work ethic</li> <li>Self-starter, driven, motivated, proactive, and disciplined</li> <li>Ability to multitask&nbsp;and prioritize at the same time</li> <li>Be innovative, and think on the fly</li> <li>Know how to have fun and work hard!</li> <li>Live the company values: Big-hearted, Tenacious, Unconventional, Better together!</li> </ul> <p><strong>Perks</strong></p> <ul> <li>Deep discounts on lenses, glasses, and other services</li> <li>Amazing vision coverage</li> <li>401(k) match</li> <li>Exposure and training to other roles in the company</li> <li>Tuition Reimbursement</li> <li>Career pathing, internal internships (i.e. finance, marketing, HR, etc.) and other development opportunities</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><em>We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
