<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The Regional Medical Director (RMD) serves as a strategic medical leader and trusted partner to hospitals within their region. This role is responsible for supporting medical excellence, fostering collaborative hospital cultures, mentoring medical leaders, and helping practices achieve both clinical and operational success.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The RMD embraces innovation, relationship-building, and servant leadership. This position is highly collaborative and continuously evolving — success in the role is driven as much by mindset, adaptability, creativity, and emotional intelligence as by technical expertise. The RMD will have broad latitude to develop new ideas, support teams in meaningful ways, and help shape the future of medical excellence within Lakefield Veterinary Group.</span></p>

<h2><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></span></h2>
<h3><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Strategic Medical Leadership</strong></span></h3>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Provide strategic medical leadership and guidance to area hospitals.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Help hospitals establish and advance a clear medical vision aligned with Lakefield’s values and standards of care.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Collaborate with hospital medical teams to ensure Lakefield hospitals are recognized as outstanding within the veterinary profession.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Work alongside hospital teams to identify strengths, opportunities for improvement, and pathways for continued growth.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Provide strategic leadership to ensure high-quality medicine and patient care are consistently delivered across the region.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Continually seek creative and innovative ways to improve hospital performance, culture, patient care, and team engagement.</span></li>
</ul>
<h3><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Medical Team Support & Development</strong></span></h3>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Meet regularly — virtually and/or in person — with Medical Directors and hospital leadership teams throughout the region.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Support hospitals with appropriate doctor, technician, and support staff utilization to maximize efficiency and patient care.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Assist in developing medical leadership training programs, medical compliance training, and medical skill development initiatives.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Help determine relevant educational material and topics for medical breakout sessions and regional training meetings.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Support mentorship, coaching, and professional development for veterinarians and medical leaders.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Help identify recruiting opportunities and participate in attracting and retaining top veterinary talent.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Demonstrate a working understanding of veterinary business operations, including workflow efficiency, patient flow, client experience, and financial awareness.</span></li>
</ul>
<h3><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Collaboration & Partnership</strong></span></h3>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Serve as an active participant and contributor to the Medical Advisory Board.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Advocate for and help communicate medical initiatives, standards, and programs developed or approved by the Medical Advisory Board.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Partner closely with Operations leadership to provide medical insight, support, and problem-solving.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Support area hospitals in achieving annual practice objectives, goals, and strategic initiatives.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing among hospitals and teams across the region.</span></li>
</ul>
<h3><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Industry Representation</strong></span></h3>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Represent Lakefield Veterinary Group professionally with industry leaders, vendors, veterinary organizations, and teaching institutions.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Build strong relationships that support continued innovation, education, and excellence in veterinary medicine.</span></li>

<h3><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Qualifications</strong></span></h3>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">DVM or equivalent veterinary degree required.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Active veterinary license in good standing; ability to obtain licensure in applicable states as needed.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Minium of five years' experience in clinical veterinary practice.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Minimum of two years in a leadership role within a practice.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Strong clinical background with demonstrated leadership experience preferred.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Excellent communication, mentorship, and relationship-building skills.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to influence and lead through collaboration rather than authority alone.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Passion for developing people, teams, and hospital culture.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Comfortable with travel throughout the assigned region.</span></li>

<h2><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Travel Requirements</strong></span></h2>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Regular travel to regional hospitals required.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Leading medicine and/or operational segments at Lakefield regional and national meetings,</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Representing Lakefield at leadership events, industry conferences, recruiting events, career fairs, or veterinary colleges as periodically requested.</span></li>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Compensation & Benefits</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The Salary range for this position will be $150,000 - $175,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined by experience and qualifications.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">20% Bonus opportunity for meeting performance parameters.</span></li>
