<p>As a support staff recruiter, you will play an important role in supporting both recruiting efforts and day-to-day staffing operations, helping ensure our hospital teams are well-supported and set up for success.</p>
<p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Recruitment & Talent Acquisition</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>Utilize online job boards, social media platforms, college directories, and industry-specific networks to identify and attract talented veterinary assistants, technicians, and other hospital support roles</li>
<li>Develop creative sourcing strategies to build a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings</li>
<li>Conduct initial phone or video screenings to assess candidates’ qualifications, experience, and cultural fit</li>
<li>Coordinate and facilitate onsite interviews with hospital leadership and HR</li>
<li>Partner with the team to align candidates with roles that match their skills and career goals</li>
<li>Provide timely updates to candidates and hiring managers to ensure a seamless candidate experience</li>
</ul>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Onboarding Support</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>Assist in coordinating onboarding activities for new hires, helping ensure a smooth and welcoming transition into the hospital</li>
<li>Partner with HR and department leaders to schedule onboarding, training, and orientation activities</li>
<li>Support communication with new team members prior to their start date and during their initial onboarding period</li>
</ul>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Staffing Coordination & Scheduling Support</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>Assist in coordinating and supporting hospital-wide support staff scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage across all departments</li>
<li>Collaborate with department leaders to address staffing gaps and support real-time scheduling needs</li>
<li>Help monitor staffing levels based on operational demands, patient volume, and acuity</li>
<li>Support adjustments to schedules to maintain consistent and effective coverage</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What You’ll Need to Bring</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree is preferred, but not required</li>
<li><strong>Experience: </strong>At least two years of recruiting and/or veterinary experience is required.</li>
<li><strong>Skills:</strong></li>
<ul>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with candidates and team members</li>
<li>Excellent research skills and the ability to gather relevant information on potential candidates</li>
<li>Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning new technologies and software</li>
</ul>

<p>This position requires candidates to live in the Brooklyn, NY area. This role is onsite at the hospital, Monday through Friday with potential to flex to a day a week to work from home after 6 months of employment.</p>
