<p><strong>The big picture: </strong>Axios is a modern media company dedicated to providing trustworthy, award-winning news content in an audience-first format. We are hiring a Client Success Account Manager to support our advertising team!</p>
<p><strong>Why it matters:</strong> In this role, you will join the Client Success team leading post-sale account management for new and existing accounts, delivering best-in-class, turnkey client experiences from kickoff to wrap. You’ll also partner with Client Partnerships on pre-sale efforts, helping develop thoughtful media plans and product recommendations based on client goals.</p>
<p><strong>Go deeper</strong>: This role requires a competent level of expertise, demonstrating the ability to apply skills independently in common situations, understanding the broader business context, and contributing effectively with occasional support. Responsibilities include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Helping drive client retention, identify opportunities for growth, and support media planning efforts to maximize long-term value for both client and Axios</li>
<li>Working closely with multiple cross-functional teams (Axios Creative House, Events, Brand Journalism, and Ad Operations) to develop and execute a wide range of campaigns across the Axios product suite. You’ll also work with your Client Partnerships colleagues to support media planning, proposals, and renewal activities. </li>
<li>Managing all post-sale campaign elements, including ownership across kick-off calls, production, launch and reporting.</li>
<li>Pull reports and use analytics to make data-driven campaign optimization recommendations.</li>
<li>Partner with sales teams on pre-sale needs, including proposals, RFP responses, and media planning</li>
<li>Develop and implement long-term strategies aligned with team and company goals.</li>

They will also have the following skills and experience:</p>
<ul>
<li>1+ years of digital campaign planning and execution experience in a publisher or agency environment and at least 2 - 4 years of work experience, while demonstrating the following attributes:</li>
<li>Agile and adaptable in managing multiple campaigns simultaneously while meeting all deadlines and exceeding client expectations.</li>
<li>Experience developing media plans and recommending products and campaign strategies based on client objectives, budgets, and goals.</li>
<li>Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships and orchestrate effective communication across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.</li>
<li>Outstanding communication, organization, and project management skills with obsessive attention to detail.</li>
<li>Takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.</li>
<li>Capacity to analyze complex situations and foresee potential challenges and opportunities.</li>
<li>Skilled at identifying problems and developing effective solutions independently.</li>
<li>Growth mindset and enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. </li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.</li>
<li>Initiative to take on responsibilities and drive projects forward with minimal supervision.</li>
<li>Flexibility to pivot client marketing strategies in response to changing market conditions or organizational needs.</li>
<li>Willingness to embrace new ideas and approaches to enhance efficiency.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Google Office Suite (Slides, Sheets, Docs).</li>
<li>Prior professional experience in account management, customer support, media planning<strong>/</strong>RFP development, digital marketing, ad operations, or business development is a plus.</li>
</ul>
<p><em>Starting salary for this role is in the range of $70,000 - $80,000 and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills. This range does not include other compensation and benefits. Axios' compensation philosophy takes into account cost of labor differentials across the country. Because this is a remote-optional job posting, this salary range takes into account all possible locations within the United States, but candidates will only be eligible for the salary range for their location.</em></p>
<p><em>Note that the total compensation offered for this role includes incremental variable compensation based on sales territory, which is contingent upon the successful achievement of predetermined sales targets.</em></p>
