About the Role

About Bobyard
Construction is a multi-trillion-dollar industry that still estimates by hand. Contractors measure and count materials off drawings manually, and it caps how many jobs they can bid. Bobyard uses computer vision and NLP to automate takeoffs and estimates, so contractors bid faster and win more. We raised a $35M Series A led by 8VC, with Primary and Pear, and we're growing fast.

About the role
Nobody has figured out great review-and-correct UX for construction drawings. You'll own a product area across releases, shape what we build next, and lead some projects with no PM. Success is your area shipping exactly what was designed, and other designers reusing your patterns.

What you'll do
• Own a product area from roadmap through launch and the 30-day metric check
• Turn ambiguous problems into phased plans PM and engineering commit to
• Lead design-led projects end to end without a PM
• Design the review and correction flows that make AI output trustworthy
• Set patterns in our Figma design system that hold across every trade
• Raise the team's bar through critique, pairing, design QA, and interviews

What we're looking for
• 5+ years shipping complex B2B SaaS, including owning a product area
• Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Graphic or Visual Design, Computer Science, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and specialized experience
• Portfolio showing research-backed decisions and business impact
• Expert Figma: design systems, variables, high-fidelity prototyping
• AI-native workflow. You prototype with AI and ship small HTML/CSS fixes yourself
• Has led projects without a PM and changed a roadmap with a business case

Nice to have
• Designed AI/ML features
• Construction, estimating, or CAD experience
• Helped build an early-stage design team

A note on pace
We move fast, and priorities shift as we learn from customers. Playbooks, context, and requirements are often incomplete when work starts, and you'll be expected to shape them. If that pace excites you, you'll fit in well.
