Quantum Innovation Postdoctoral Fellow - QEC at QuEra Computing Inc.

<div class="p-rich_text_section"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Summary</strong></div> <div class="p-rich_text_section"><br>QuEra Computing Inc. is seeking a talented and driven Postdoctoral Fellow with a background in quantum error correction (QEC) or related areas to contribute to our neutral atom quantum computing research and innovation efforts.&nbsp;This role is a fixed-term position.&nbsp;The ideal candidate will develop innovative QEC protocols, design their concrete implementation in neutral atom hardware, and evaluate how they interplay with quantum algorithms. This will inform both near-term applications and long-term architectures. This is a unique opportunity to shape the design direction of one of the most promising quantum computing platforms, while working in close collaboration with QuEra scientists and engineers in an industry setting.</div> <div class="p-rich_text_section">&nbsp;</div> <div class="p-rich_text_section"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Key Responsibilities</strong></div> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Develop novel QEC schemes with lower overhead in space and time.</li> <li>Design QEC schemes suited to neutral atom platforms and collaborate with software teams on their simulation and implementation.</li> <li>Propose and evaluate scalable quantum architectures, error correction schemes, and control strategies.</li> <li>Collaborate with experimental teams to guide system design, interpret results, and validate models.</li> <li>Contribute to technical publications, white papers, and patent filings.</li> <li>Participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions and external scientific outreach (e.g., conferences, workshops).</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <div class="p-rich_text_section"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Required Qualifications</strong></div> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, Quantum Information, or a closely related field.</li> <li>Demonstrated expertise in quantum error correction.</li> <li>Track record of peer-reviewed publications in top-tier journals.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <div class="p-rich_text_section"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Preferred Qualifications</strong></div> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with experimental quantum computing platforms, including but not limited to atom arrays.</li> <li>Proficiency with numerical simulation and scientific programming.</li> <li>Experience with decoders or machine learning.</li> <li>Ability to work across theory and application, including engagement with experimentalists and engineers.</li> <li>Interest in translating fundamental research into commercial quantum technologies.</li> </ul> <p>The approximate base salary range for this position is $110,000-$120,000.</p> <p>We consistently monitor external market data and update base salary ranges accordingly.&nbsp; We determine base compensation decisions on several factors, including as geographic placement, role-specific knowledge, skills, and/or experience.&nbsp; In addition to our base salary offerings, we also provide equity grants for all new hires.</p> <p>QuEra is committed to cultivating a diverse work environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
