About the Team ACCEL Schools is seeking highly-qualified Virtual Occupational Therapists for our upcoming 2026-2027 school year! ACCEL Schools is a K-12 public charter school management organization (CMO) serving students across the United States in brick-and-mortar, virtual, and hybrid school settings. We focus on improving academic outcomes of students regardless of geographic location or socioeconomic factors. The Occupational Therapist works with the school staff to coordinate and deliver Occupational Therapy services for qualifying students.  <h2>**Applicants in Colorado, California, New York, and Washington State are not eligible for this position**</h2> About the Opportunity <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Provide high-quality online Occupational therapy services to students according to the student’s IEPs</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Conduct OT evaluations and reevaluations as determined by the Special Education department</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Consult with teachers, other therapists, support staff, and families to facilitate classroom participation</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Development, monitor, and report on goals; determine needs, design interventions utilizing research-based best practices</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Provide clear clinical documentation that supports progress and growth of students towards their documented goals</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Participate in IEP meetings and other meetings as needed</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Adequately complete, in a timely manner, all paperwork for the District and the State</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Model professionalism in all situations maintaining confidentiality and privacy</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Continually develop professional growth in areas related to OT</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Follow all school policies and procedures</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Participating in training and meetings as needed</li> </ul> About You <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">State issued Occupational Therapist license is required, willingness to become certified in additional states</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Proficiency with computers and online documentation skills</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and exhibit sound judgment while maintaining that confidentiality</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Demonstrates a reliable, dependable, and trustworthy work ethic</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Ability to manage difficult or emotional client situations</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Ability to make sound judgments after all available information has been gathered or communicated</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Demonstrates a mature attitude and insight into matters affecting department, self and / or company welfare</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Demonstrated leadership and management ability</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Excellent written and oral communication skills</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Ability to work well under pressure, effectively prioritizing and executing tasks to meet deadlines consistently</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Ability to learn new technologies and acquire new skills through independent study, professional training, and from more senior team members</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Ability to work independently and contribute to a team</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks</li> </ul> About Us “We believe that every child should be able to be anything they want in life, regardless of their birthplace and circumstances.” – Ron Packard, CEO & Founder ACCEL Schools is a network of 80+ high-performing, public charter schools serving PK-12 students. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
