This is an exceptional opportunity to become a part of Coupang’s growth in Taiwan and create a world where our customers wonder, “How did I ever live without Coupang?” Role Overview The Policy Communication Principal supports Coupang Taiwan’s public policy team by shaping how policy issues, regulatory positions, and business perspectives are understood by key external stakeholders. Working closely within the Taiwan Public Policy team and together with the PR team, this senior individual contributor role focuses on crafting persuasive, context‑aware policy narratives and communication materials that support constructive engagement, mitigate risk, and reinforce credibility. The role requires strong judgment, discretion, and an instinct for how policy discussions form and evolve beyond formal channels. This is not a people‑management role, but demands the ability to operate independently and influence outcomes through high‑quality communication and narrative execution. What You Will Do  <ul> <li>Develop and refine policy‑related narratives, messaging frameworks, and written materials that shape understanding among government, legislative, and broader stakeholder audiences.</li> <li>Translate complex regulatory issues and business positions into clear, credible communications tailored to different stakeholder contexts and sensitivities.</li> <li>Support both proactive and reactive policy communication needs, anticipating how policy topics may be interpreted, reframed, or amplified externally.</li> <li>Coordinate closely with Public Policy, Legal, Compliance, and PR teams to ensure messaging consistency while adapting tone and emphasis for different engagement channels.</li> <li>Track evolving policy discourse, stakeholder sentiment, and opinion trends to inform adjustments to messaging and communication approaches.</li> <li>Maintain structured documentation, issue briefs, and narrative guidance to enable disciplined and consistent communication across engagements.</li> </ul> Basic Qualifications  <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience in public policy communications, public affairs, government relations, or a related field</li> <li>Strong policy writing and editing skills with the ability to translate complex issues into clear, concise communication</li> <li>Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high‑quality outputs with limited supervision</li> <li>Professional fluency in Mandarin and English  </li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications  <ul> <li>Experience supporting public policy or government affairs teams in environments requiring nuanced narrative management and stakeholder sensitivity</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to shape policy understanding through non‑traditional channels, including engagement with opinion leaders, sector commentators, or ecosystem networks beyond mainstream media</li> <li>Experience identifying emerging public sentiment, interpreting issue dynamics, and adapting messaging to address reputational or policy risks</li> <li>Strong instinct for crafting messages that influence perception while maintaining credibility with regulators and institutional stakeholders</li> <li>Experience collaborating with PR, public affairs, or external advisors on disclosure‑sensitive or high‑context policy issues</li> </ul> Remuneration  <ul> <li>Monthly salary of more than NT$ 40,000 (To be discussed)</li> </ul>   Recruitment Process and Others  Recruitment Process  <ul> <li>Application Review - Phone Interview - Onsite (or Virtual Onsite) Interview – Offer</li> <li>The exact nature of the recruitment process may vary according to the specific job and may be changed due to scheduling or other circumstances.</li> <li>Interview schedules and the results will be informed to the applicant via the e-mail address submitted at the application stage.</li> </ul>   Details to Consider <ul> <li>This job posting may be closed prior to the stated end date for application if all openings are filled.</li> <li>Coupang has the right to rescind an offer of employment if a candidate is found to have submitted false information as part of the application process.</li> <li>Those eligible for employment protection (recipients of veteran’s benefits, the disabled, etc.) may receive preferential treatment for employment in accordance with applicable laws.</li> </ul> Privacy Notice <ul> <li>Your personal information will be collected and managed by Coupang as stated in the Application Privacy Notice located below: <a href="https://www.coupang.jobs/privacy-policy/" target="_blank">https://www.coupang.jobs/privacy-policy/</a></li> </ul>
