Join us.</div><h1>Job Summary</h1> The Manufacturing Engineering manager leads the team that is responsible for unlocking our AV production at scale. This individual will manage a diverse team whose goal is to optimize May Mobility’s production processes across a network of component suppliers and contract manufacturers. This role requires an individual that will be bridge-builder between Design and Production teams, is an expert of lean methodologies, and has a strong desire to work with emerging technology and new manufacturing challenges. Essential Responsibilities <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">This is a player-coach role where the Manager will be responsible for both demonstrating and developing team competencies in the areas of:</li> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Lean Manufacturing best practices</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Continuous improvement</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">FMEA, Control plans, poke yoke, and control plans</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Process improvement through automation and digital tooling</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Technical transfer to contract manufacturing partners</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Implementing and promoting company priorities through objective targets and measurable performance indicators</li> </ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Scale our manufacturing capacity while optimizing cost and ensuring quality</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Manage and oversee major projects: New program Launches, Facility and line optimization, Tooling improvements, vendors RFP, RFQ’s, and SOW’s</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Effectively manage team resources across simultaneous projects</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Drive collaboration and feedback with Design  and Service teams</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Work closely with the quality team to troubleshoot, triage, and resolve internal and supplier quality issues </li> </ul> <h1>Skills and Abilities</h1> Success in this role typically requires the following competencies: <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Demonstrated ability to increase team motivation and effectiveness through effective mentoring, challenging team assumptions, and status quo. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas, instructions, and feedback clearly and efficiently. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Strong decision-making skills to analyze situations, evaluate options, and make timely and informed decisions.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to plan strategically, anticipate future trends, and develop long-term roadmaps to drive organizational success. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances, priorities, and environments. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Strong electronic hardware integration experience. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Working knowledge of ERP, PDM, and CAD technologies </li> </ul> <h1>Qualifications and Experience</h1> Candidates most successful in this role typically hold the following qualifications or comparable knowledge or experience: Required <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fields.  </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">7+ years of relevant work experience  </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">At least 4 years of experience in leading an engineering team and delivering products on time </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience utilizing Lean manufacturing Principles (Kaizen, visual management, Value stream mapping, etc)</li> </ul> Desirable <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Master’s degree </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience working ADAS and low-level actuation in vehicles. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience with agile engineering development processes. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Strong proficiency in program management and cross-functional communication</li> </ul> Physical Requirements  <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Standard office working conditions which includes but is not limited to: </li> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Prolonged sitting </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Prolonged standing </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Prolonged computer use</li> </ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Travel</li> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Travel required?
