Senior Systems Engineer at Ensono

<p><u><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></u></p> <ul> <li>Full understanding of virtual servers and operating systems, block, file, and object storage, and data protection</li> <li>Full knowledge to install and configure high availability compute solutions supporting business critical functions</li> <li>Understands how the whole picture aligns to overall Ensono strategy</li> <li>Understanding of multiple scripting languages to develop solutions for automation and reporting</li> <li>Work in a team to design computer system configurations</li> <li>Design and document procedures to apply operating systems patches, code and firmware updates to systems infrastructure</li> <li>Participate in primary design meetings for Client disaster recovery planning</li> <li>Proficiency in Operating system installation procedure</li> <li>Implement storage and data protection configurations</li> <li>Research system vulnerabilities and provide documentation for future use implementing corrective actions as required</li> <li>Develop guidelines and procedures for systems management including process and efficiency improvements</li> <li>Monitor and tune systems to identify and eliminate issues and potential bottlenecks</li> <li>Prepare periodic reports related to capacity and utilization</li> <li>Design and implement advanced network configurations within the virtual server configuration</li> </ul> <p><br><u><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></u></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8+ years of related experience or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience; or equivalent work experience</li> <li>Operating SystemsWindows 5+ years hands on administration of Windows OS environments and/or</li> <li>VMware 5+ years hands on administration of VMware environments and/or</li> <li>Linux 5+ years hands on administration with RHEL or other Linux environments</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, to include resources, priorities, and timelines</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Results oriented team player who will work towards meeting team commitments</li> <li>Experience with system configuration automation (Scripting with Pearl/Python/Bash or DevOps tools like Chef/Puppet)</li> <li>Ability to mentor technical operations staff in appropriate technologies, as needed</li> <li>Understanding of the competitive landscape from both business and technical perspective is a plus</li> <li>AWS experience in designing, provisioning, monitoring and managing the environment is a big plus</li> <li>AWS Certifications such as SysOps Administrator Associate, Solutions Architect Associate and Professional ITIL Foundations Certified is a plus</li> <li>Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified IT Professional ﴾MCITP﴿ / Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) / Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) / Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) / VMware Certified Professional – VCP / Red Hat Certified Engineer</li> <li>Experience with DevOps and Agile frameworks is a plus</li> </ul> <p><br><u><strong>TRAVEL:</strong></u></p> <p>up to 15%</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
