You provide top-tier, "white-glove" support for stakeholders tailored to their specific needs. You excel in researching technical problems and solutions with a high level of professionalism. In this role, you take charge of the technical design, planning, implementation, and performance tuning for critical enterprise application systems. While you are the primary architect and owner for our core collaboration stack, you are a versatile engineer capable of managing a broad and diverse ecosystem of tools. You lead by example as a technical expert and serve as a mentor to junior systems engineers. <h1>Your Success Profile</h1> <h2>What You Will Work On</h2> <ul> <li>Core Platform Architecture: Act as the primary architect and administrator for our core enterprise platforms: Atlassian suite (Jira & Confluence), Google Workspace, and Slack.</li> <li>SaaS and AI Enablement: Lead the technical strategy for enterprise-wide SaaS adoption and optimization. You will drive the roadmap for enabling AI-native capabilities across our ecosystem (e.g., Slack AI, Atlassian AI) to streamline workflows, boost employee productivity, and increase organizational velocity.</li> <li>Ecosystem Management: Administer, configure, and troubleshoot a diverse catalog of 30+ SaaS platforms. You will use SaaS Management Platforms (SMPs) to maintain visibility, optimize licenses, and ensure system health across the entire stack.</li> <li>AI-Driven Velocity: Act as an early adopter and champion of AI tools to accelerate the transition of ideas into concepts and concepts into executed solutions.</li> <li>Automation: Support in maintaining and improving user lifecycle workflows (onboarding/offboarding).</li> <li>Audits & Optimization: Conduct regular audits of SaaS environments to identify improvements, optimize resource utilization, and enhance security posture.</li> <li>Documentation: Develop and maintain "source of truth" documentation for supported applications and processes for both internal employees and IT staff.</li> <li>Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and "bar-raising" performance.</li> </ul> <h2>How You Will Do Your Work</h2> As a Senior IT Systems Engineer, how results are achieved is paramount for your success and ultimately result in our success as an organization. You’re honest and forthright, have a strong moral compass, and strive to match your words with your actions while leading by example. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Simplicity - Be like Einstein: “Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler.”</li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional IT Systems experience in a fast-paced environment supporting a hybrid/distributed workforce.</li> <li>Subject Matter Expertise: Extensive, hands-on experience with the administration and architecture of Jira, Confluence, Google Workspace, and Slack.</li> <li>SMP Proficiency: Ideal candidates will have experience using SaaS Management Platforms (e.g., Productiv, Lumos, Torii, etc.) to manage a wide catalog of tools.</li> <li>AI Fluency: Demonstrated interest or experience in using AI tools to increase engineering velocity and automate manual thinking.</li> <li>IAM: Proficiency in Okta is a significant plus to support IGA (identity governance and administration) and user lifecycle initiatives </li> <li>Supportive Mindset: Experience supporting infrastructure and automation teams without needing to own those specific domains.</li> <li>Versatility: Proven ability to manage and support a wide range of SaaS platforms (30+) beyond the core stack.</li> <li>Adaptability: You learn fast, are not afraid of technical details, and are motivated to understand every aspect of the products you support.</li> </ul> The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $127,000.00 to $139,700.00 per year.<div class="content-conclusion">Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location.  Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.  For more information about Justworks’ Total Reward Philosophy, including all of the perks and benefits we are proud to offer our team members, please visit <a href="https://www.justworks.com/careers#total-reward-philosophy">Total Rewards @ Justworks</a>.  <h1>Diversity At Justworks</h1> Justworks is committed to maintaining a workplace where diversity of identity, culture, and life experience is the norm and is celebrated authentically and respected consistently.
