Find out how a career as a Forensic Scheduler can improve yours!</p> <p>We are seeking a highly experienced professional with deep expertise in <strong>construction scheduling, delay analysis, and forensic schedule evaluation</strong> to support complex construction projects. This role is critical in developing, analyzing, and defending <strong>schedule-driven claims and change orders</strong>, ensuring alignment between project execution, contractual obligations, and entitlement.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>Change Management &amp; Claims Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Lead change management efforts with a strong emphasis on <strong>schedule impact evaluation</strong>, including day-to-day collaboration with project teams and ownership of change order tracking.</li> <li>Develop and implement <strong>forensic schedule analysis strategies</strong> to support claims involving delays, disruptions, and productivity impacts, including selection and execution of techniques</li> </ul> <p>Schedule Analysis &amp; Delay Quantification</p> <ul> <li>Perform and oversee detailed <strong>critical path method (CPM) schedule reviews</strong> to identify delays, concurrency, float erosion, and responsibility.</li> <li>Analyze baseline schedules, updates, and revisions to determine <strong>cause-and-effect relationships impacting project timelines</strong>.</li> <li>Quantify <strong>schedule impacts and associated cost damages</strong>, including extended general conditions and inefficiencies tied to time-related disruptions.</li> <li>Support development of <strong>fragnet modeling and prospective/retrospective delay analyses</strong>.</li> </ul> <p>Claims Development &amp; Documentation</p> <ul> <li>Own the development of major claim components, including:</li> <ul> <li><strong>Entitlement (contractual and factual basis)</strong></li> <li><strong>Schedule impact (forensic analysis and delay quantification)</strong></li> <li><strong>Quantum (cost damages tied to time impacts)</strong></li> </ul> <li>Lead preparation of <strong>technical narratives integrating schedule findings with contractual provisions and project records</strong>.</li> <li>Oversee the creation of <strong>schedule exhibits, graphics, and visualizations</strong> that clearly communicate delay impacts and critical path changes.</li> <li>Assist with other, non-schedule-related claim development, as needed.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>Technical Oversight &amp; Quality Control</p> <ul> <li>Oversee schedule and cost analyses performed by team members, ensuring <strong>accuracy, defensibility, and alignment with industry best practices</strong>.</li> <li>Ensure all analyses meet standards required for <strong>negotiation, mediation, arbitration, or litigation support</strong>.</li> <li>Validate scheduling data integrity, including logic, durations, constraints, and progress updates.</li> </ul> <p>Cross-Functional Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with <strong>project managers, schedulers, legal counsel, and finance teams</strong> to support effective schedule development and maintenance, claims strategy and execution.</li> <li>Serve as a key advisor to project teams on <strong>schedule-related risk identification and mitigation</strong>.</li> <li>Present findings and recommendations to internal leadership and external stakeholders.</li> </ul> <p>Process Improvement &amp; Implementation</p> <ul> <li>Identify risks and improvement opportunities in <strong>schedule development and management, claim development, and change control processes</strong>.</li> <li>Help standardize <strong>best practices for schedule development, maintenance, and forensic analysis</strong> across projects.</li> <li>Support implementation of tools, systems, and workflows that enhance <strong>schedule transparency and defensibility</strong>.</li> </ul> <p>Leadership &amp; Industry certification (e.g., CFCC, PSP) preferred.&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrated experience performing <strong>forensic schedule analyses and delay evaluations</strong></li> <li>Strong understanding of:</li> <ul> <li>Construction contracts and legal frameworks</li> <li>Means and methods of construction</li> <li>Cost estimating and time-related damages</li> <li>Industry standards for forensic scheduling analysis (e.g., AACE 29R-03)</li> </ul> <li>Experience preparing or supporting <strong>schedule-based claims and change orders</strong></li> <li>High-level proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel)</li> <li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially in <strong>technical and contractual narratives</strong></li> <li>Ability to manage multiple complex priorities and stakeholders</li> <li>Experience mentoring and leading junior staff</li> <li>Willingness to travel up to 20%</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p>AA/EOE/M/W/Vet/Disability</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><a href="https://www.michels.us/website-user-privacy-policy/">https://www.michels.us/website-user-privacy-policy/</a></p></div>
