Construction Manager at Vixxo

<p>Vixxo is seeking a full-time, Construction Manager.</p> <p>&nbsp;THE ROLE</p> <p>The VIXXO Construction Manager is responsible for managing and leading both individual, multi-disciplined convenience store construction project solutions (including NTI, R&amp;R, Major/Minor Remodels, Acquisitions, etc.) for clients. The role has direct accountability for on-time project delivery, financial goals and meeting all project objectives. The Construction Manager also participates in business development, client engagement and special projects as required</p> <p>&nbsp;WHO WILL LOVE THIS JOB</p> <ul> <li> <p>An<strong> advisor,</strong>&nbsp;you build rapport by offering strategic value in every interaction.&nbsp; You are trusted internally by cross-functional partners, as well as externally by our customers, for your strategic inputs</p> </li> <li> <p>A <strong>driver-</strong> you enjoy opportunities to work at a faster than average pace and following things through to completion</p> </li> <li>A <strong>relationship builder – </strong>you naturally work with different personalities and build customer relationships as a trusted point of contact for any issues that arise.</li> </ul> <p>TOP 3 RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>High volume project management for individual construction projects ranging in scope from $5,000 to $500,000 including planning, design, construction execution, occupancy and closeout</li> <li>Accountable for the timely completion of the project and ensuring that the project is constructed in strict accordance with plans, specifications, and local codes.</li> <li>Interfaces directly with clients to define project requirements. Prepares scope of work, cost estimate &amp; budget, work plan schedule &amp; milestones, and quality control.</li> </ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Minimum six years of direct Construction or Project Management experience and/or training</li> <li>Previous experience working with convenience stores (C-stores) a plus</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to read and understand architectural and engineering drawings and forecast and prepare budgets</li> <li>Demonstrates capability to read, understand and apply standards to complex documents including but not limited to: agreements/contracts, work letters, detailed SOW, surveys and construction drawings.</li> <li>Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering or Construction Management and/or PMP certification preferred</li> </ul>
