This leader will build and sustain strong relationships with private developers, municipal partners, and key regional stakeholders across Central Florida, while leading a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team delivering exceptional residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.   As Lead, you'll be accountable for operational excellence, project delivery quality, and business development results, ensuring consistent execution aligned with McAdams’ standards, culture, and long-term strategic objectives. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and is motivated by meaningful impact, continuous improvement, and helping others succeed.   Key Responsibilities  <ul> <li>Lead the strategic direction, vision, and growth of the ORL Land Development practice.  </li> <li>Cultivate trusted relationships with Central Florida developers, landowners, municipalities, and reviewing agencies.  </li> <li>Proactively identify new business opportunities and lead pursuit strategies for major development projects.  </li> <li>Oversee execution of large-scale, multi-disciplinary land development projects with strong project controls and financial performance.  </li> <li>Ensure predictable project outcomes through effective scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.  </li> <li>Recruit, hire, and develop high-performing teams to support long-term practice growth.  </li> <li>Mentor staff and promote a collaborative, learning-focused environment that supports career development.  </li> <li>Drive operational excellence, resource planning, and compliance with company standards and industry regulations.  </li> </ul> Skills + Experience   <ul> <li>Professional Engineer (PE) license required </li> <li>10+ years of progressive experience in land development engineering  </li> <li>Proven leadership delivering large-scale residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects </li> <li>Strong credibility with Central Florida developers, municipalities, and regulatory agencies  </li> <li>Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and complex project portfolios </li> <li>Experience in business development and growing a regional practice </li> <li>Excellent communication, leadership presence, and emotional intelligence </li> </ul> Work Environment + Physical Demands  The characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.
