<h2>Role Overview</h2>
<p>At Tanger Hillel, relationships are everything.</p>
<p>As the Student Experience Coordinator, you’ll build meaningful connections that help Jewish students feel seen, valued, and inspired to explore their identity and community. You’ll meet students where they are and create experiences that feel relevant, joyful, and genuinely theirs.</p>
<p>This role is equal parts connector, mentor, and community-builder. <strong>Most days, you’ll be energized by the relationships you’re building and the community you’re shaping.</strong> The role includes evenings and some weekends, balanced with flexibility in your schedule.</p>
<p>You’re not just running programs—you’re helping shape how students experience Jewish life during one of the most formative times in their lives.</p>
<h2>What You’ll Do</h2>
<ul>
<li>Build <strong>meaningful one-on-one relationships</strong> with students</li>
<li>Create a <strong>welcoming, inclusive environment</strong> where students feel they belong</li>
<li>Connect students to Jewish life through personalized pathways</li>
<li>Empower students to explore their identity and step into leadership roles</li>
<li>Partner with student leaders to grow participation in Shabbat, holidays, and key programs</li>
<li>Support student clubs in creating impactful, mission-driven programming</li>
<li>Co-facilitate cohort experiences like the Jewish Learning Fellowship (JLF)</li>
<li>Recruit for immersive opportunities including Birthright and alternative breaks</li>
<li>Follow up with students to deepen engagement over time</li>
<li><strong>Mentor and supervise student leaders</strong>, including engagement interns and Student Board members</li>
<li>Use feedback and data to strengthen programs and impact</li>
</ul>
<h2>On a day to day basis you will</h2>
<ul>
<li><strong>Build genuine relationships with students—this is the heart of the role</strong></li>
<li>Design and run engaging programs that connect students to Jewish life</li>
<li>Create community through Shabbat dinners, retreats, and cultural events</li>
<li>Collaborate with and mentor student leaders to bring ideas to life</li>
<li>Cultivate micro-communities based on shared interests and identities</li>
<li>Be a visible, trusted presence on campus</li>
</ul>
<h2>What You’ll Bring to the Job</h2>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree required</li>
<li><strong>0–3 years of experience or early-career professionals excited to grow</strong></li>
<li>A passion for <strong>building relationships and community</strong></li>
<li>Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Creativity, initiative, and emotional intelligence</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment</li>
</ul>
<h2>What You’ll Receive</h2>
<ul>
<li><strong>Salary: $52,000–$57,000, based on experience</strong></li>
