Join us as a Medical Assistant (MA) and be part of this innovative approach to redefining healthcare.    <h3>Your Impact </h3> <ul> <li>Patient Interaction: Engage with patients in a welcoming and professional manner, addressing inquiries and providing assistance and information regarding their medical conditions, treatment plans, and medications.   <ul> <li>Explain prescribed medications, including dosage instructions and potential adverse reactions. </li> <li>Offer guidance on lifestyle modifications, preventive healthcare measures, and follow-up care. </li> <li>Address patient questions and concerns to ensure they have a clear understanding of their health status and treatment options. </li> </ul> </li> <li>Clinical Responsibilities: Support clinical operations and patient care.   <ul> <li>Conduct preliminary evaluations to triage patients and determine the urgency of their medical needs.   </li> <li>Perform basic clinical procedures such as taking vital signs, obtaining medical histories, phlebotomy, and assisting with minor medical procedures. </li> <li>Document patient information accurately, maintaining electronic health records (EHRs) in compliance with privacy regulations. </li> </ul> </li> <li>Medication Administration (prescription meds – NH & ME only): Administer medications under the supervision and direction of licensed healthcare providers, adhering to state regulations and guidelines for medication administration.  <ul> <li>Ensure accurate medication preparation and administration techniques. </li> <li>Understand medication dosages, routes of administration, and potential side effects. </li> </ul> </li> <li>Collaboration with Clinical Team: Work closely with other members of the clinical team to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.   <ul> <li>Communicate effectively and efficiently with providers and other healthcare professionals to relay patient information and updates. </li> <li>Collaborate with providers on discharge plans and may help with discharge.  </li> <li>Welcome and support the training of new team clinic team members. </li> </ul> </li> </ul> <h3>Required Availability</h3> <ul> <li>Medical Assistants must have full-time availability during clinic operating hours, Monday through Friday, from 7:30am to 5:00pm. To ensure seamless patient care and clinic readiness, team members can generally expect to work from 7:15am to 5:15pm, including time for opening and closing procedures. While the schedule primarily aligns with these hours, flexibility may occasionally be required to meet patient and team needs.</li> <li>This position follows a four-day work week consisting of four 10-hour shifts, with no weekend hours.   </li> </ul> <h3>Who You Are </h3> <ul> <li>Education: High school diploma required.  </li> <li>Certification or demonstrated prior experience: Medical Assisting certification with at least one (1) year of experience or two (2) years of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a primary care setting.  </li> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification.
