We develop proprietary software that learns and adjusts to the habits of each person as it delivers immersive content that guides them on their own individual fitness journey.</div>  We are currently seeking an ambitious pace-setter to join our team as a Staff DevOps Engineer remotely in the US. iFIT is looking for a hands-on Staff DevOps Engineer to join our platform infrastructure team. This is primarily an individual contributor role — roughly 75% hands-on engineering and 25% architecture and mentorship — where you will write Terraform, build GitHub Actions workflows, develop internal tooling and AI agents in TypeScript, and ship production infrastructure changes daily. ROLE COMMITMENTS <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Eliminate toil through automation and self-service by building the modules and tooling that allow teams to stand up services, manage deployments, and resolve issues without routing through a platform engineer.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Maintain platform health and delivery outcomes, including ownership of incident response and on-call management.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Make the platform AI-native by investing heavily in modern AI-powered development workflows for routine maintenance.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Optimize cloud platform costs across primary cloud infrastructure in AWS and third-party providers.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Architect and advise teams to deploy novel systems including ML workflows, real-time events, and video streaming.</li> </ul> ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Own and evolve the Terraform estate at scale, including shared modules, state and versioning management, and migrations.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Build and maintain the internal developer platform and delivery automation through GitHub Actions, ECS and Lambda deployment patterns, and AI agents for automation.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Own and operate the core AWS platform including VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, CloudFront, IAM, SSO, and Secrets Manager.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Drive reliability and operations through Datadog monitoring, participation in an on-call rotation, and incident response.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Provide technical leadership and mentorship through RFCs, design review, code review, and cross-team influence without direct reports.</li> </ul> EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Education and Basic Qualifications <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">8+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Deep expertise in AWS, Terraform, ECS/Fargate, and CI/CD pipelines.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Strong proficiency in TypeScript with the ability to write production-quality code.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Solid knowledge of IAM, SSO, and observability tooling.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.</li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Experience building internal developer platforms or improving developer experience.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Proficiency in Python.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Experience building LLM or AI agents.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Datadog-as-code experience.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Familiarity with AWS Organizations, policy as code, and security posture work.</li> </ul> DISCLAIMER Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan, and exemption status.
