This opportunity is ideal for candidates currently pursuing a degree in Network and Security Administration, Cyber Operations, Cyber Defense or related fields. Apply today to join Interstates in safeguarding the future!</p> <p><strong>As a Cyber Security Intern, you'll:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist with Network &amp; Hardware Troubleshooting: Dive into resolving technical issues to support seamless operations.</li> <li>Research Solutions: Explore emerging threats and innovative defenses, contributing to our team’s knowledge base.</li> <li>Test &amp; Document: Participate in rigorous testing of systems, documenting procedures and results with precision.</li> <li>Support Incident Response: Be part of our cyber security incident response efforts, gaining experience in tackling real security events.</li> <li>Monitor Compliance: Help ensure adherence to internal and external cyber security policies.</li> <li>Assess &amp; Mitigate Risks: Contribute to evaluating security risks and implementing effective solutions to reduce vulnerabilities.</li> <li>Create Audit Policies &amp; Controls: Develop and refine critical audit processes that protect organizational assets.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Education and/or Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Pursuing a 4 year degree in Network and Security Administration, Cyber Operations, Cyber Defense or related fields.</li> <li>Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals, understanding of common ports and protocols, and familiarity with common cyber security technologies.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Excellent communication and teamwork skills</li> <li>Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills</li> <li>Ability to work individually and as part of a team</li> <li>Self- motivated</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation: </strong>The pay range for this position is $20/hr - $21/hr. Our compensation ranges are determined by the experience and education required, and level of responsibility. The range posted for this role represents a range that Interstates, in good faith, believes it is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
