If you are a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and you're excited about contributing to the success of a high-growth Series D-funded company, we'd love for you to apply.</div>The Role  The Accounts Payable Clerk oversees the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, payments, and expense reimbursements. This role involves working with team members across the organization, maintaining compliance with company policies and financial regulations, and optimizing AP processes for efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in accounts payable operations, and skilled in leadership and process improvement.  Responsibilities  <ul> <li>Process high-volume vendor invoices, including verification, coding, and obtaining necessary approvals. </li> <li>Assist in the preparation and execution of payment runs (e.g., checks, ACH, wire transfers) to ensure timely vendor payments. </li> <li>Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain positive vendor relationships. </li> <li>Assist in maintaining the vendor master file, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with tax requirements (e.g., W-9s, 1099s). </li> <li>Review and monitor AP transactions to ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and regulatory standards. </li> <li>Support month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and accrual preparation. </li> <li>Assist in AP aging reports and other financial reports for management review. </li> <li>Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing AP automation or system enhancements. </li> <li>Collaborate with procurement, receiving, and other departments to resolve invoice and purchase order discrepancies. </li> <li>Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits. </li> <li>Help escalate complex AP issues and assist the Head of Finance and Accounting and Assistant Controller as needed. </li> </ul> Qualifications  <ul> <li>Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). </li> <li>2+ years of accounts payable experience, with demonstrated expertise in AP processes and 3-way matching. </li> <li>Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, MS Dynamics, QuickBooks) and AP software tools (e.g., Bill.com, Ramp). </li> <li>Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. </li> <li>Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial processing. </li> <li>Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume environment. </li> <li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills to train staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams. </li> <li>Knowledge of GAAP and basic tax regulations (e.g., 1099 reporting) preferred. </li> <li>Experience with process improvement or AP automation is a plus. </li> </ul> Nice to Have  <ul> <li>Space industry or aerospace experience </li> </ul> Compensation and Benefits:  <ul> <li>Base salary range for this role is $25 - $30 per hour and equity in the company </li> <li>Salary will be based on several factors including, but not limited to: knowledge and skills, education, and experience level </li> <li>Comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, paid parental leave, and many other perks </li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion">If you don’t meet 100% of the preferred skills and experience, we encourage you to still apply!
