You’ll lead the development of core services that blend AI, telephony, and automation, helping shape how people communicate with our brands.</p> <p>You’ll also:</p> <ul> <li>Own the design and delivery of new features end-to-end — from architecture and implementation to deployment and observability.</li> <li>Work with product managers, AI engineers, and data scientists to bring conversational intelligence into real-world voice experiences.</li> <li>Integrate deeply with Twilio, AWS, Azure, and internal APIs to manage call routing, speech processing, and response flows.</li> <li>Improve system performance, latency, and reliability across a distributed, event-driven stack.</li> <li>Provide technical leadership — mentoring other engineers, sharing knowledge, and helping shape best practices across the team.</li> <li>Participate in code reviews and on-call rotations, ensuring production systems run smoothly and efficiently.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We’re Looking For:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Languages: Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript/Node.js.</li> <li>Cloud Infrastructure: Deep experience with AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch, ECS/Fargate, etc.).</li> <li>APIs: Skilled in designing RESTful and event-driven APIs (WebSockets, SNS/SQS, or Kafka/Redis Streams experience a plus).</li> <li>CI/CD: Proficient with modern DevOps workflows (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar).</li> <li>Testing: Strong commitment to automated testing (unit, integration, and load testing).</li> <li>Familiarity with observability stacks (Datadog, New Relic, or OpenTelemetry).</li> <li>Databases: Familiarity with relational databases and basic working knowledge of SQL.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to Have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Telephony: experience with Twilio Voice, Programmable Voice APIs, or similar voice/IVR platforms.</li> <li>Experience integrating speech recognition, text-to-speech, or LLM-based conversational AI.</li> <li>Familiarity with frameworks for building real-time voice and multimodal conversational AI agents (e.g., Pipecat, Livekit, etc.).</li> <li>Understanding of serverless architectures and event-driven systems.</li> <li>Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform or AWS CDK).</li> <li>Familiarity with React, Next.js, or other front-end frameworks (for internal dashboards or call management tools).</li> <li>Telephony: Hands-on experience with Twilio Voice, Programmable Voice APIs, or similar voice/IVR platforms.</li> </ul> <p> &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Compensation:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><em>This range reflects total cash compensation, which may include base salary only or base salary plus target bonus, depending on the role. Where eligible, equity may also be offered separately and not included below.
