<p class="s5"><span class="s4">The<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></span><span class="s4">School<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></span><span class="s4">Safety Coordinator</span><span class="s4"><span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety procedures across campus to support a safe, secure, and well-</span><span class="s4">managed learning environment. This role ensures effective emergency preparedness, daily operational safety, training, and risk management aligned with NC best practices for private schools.</span><span class="s4"><span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span> </span></p>

<p class="s6"><strong><span class="s2">Primary Job</span><span class="s2"><span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Responsibilities</span></strong></p>

<li><span class="s4">Reports to</span><span class="s4"> the<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></span><span class="s4">Director of Safety</span></li>
<li>Oversee campus traffic flow, carpool operations, roadway safety, and crossing guard coordination</li>
<li>Manage student driver safety protocols and campus parking policies</li>
<li>Monitor safety of playgrounds, outdoor spaces, and campus facilities</li>
<li>Develop and lead emergency management planning, including lockdown procedures, drills, and staff training</li>
<li>Enforce visitor sign-<span class="s4">in procedures and controlled access to school buildings</span></li>
<li>Oversee classroom, lab, and shop equipment safety, including required training, student sign<span class="s4">offs, and parent liability waivers</span></li>
<li>Ensure safety protocols for field trips and off<span class="s4">campus activities</span></li>
<li>Coordinate first aid readiness, injury reporting, and incident investigations</li>
<li>Maintain<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><span class="s4">accurate and concise<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></span><span class="s4">safety documentation, training records, and compliance materials</span></li>

<p class="s6"><strong><span class="s2">Job Requirements</span></strong></p>

<li><span class="s4">BS degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent preferred</span></li>
<li>Experience with site security, education settings, and emergency planning</li>
<li style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;"><em><strong>Willing to travel 10% to local NC sites for auditing and program roll out. Quarterly travel for 2 out of state campuses.</strong></em></li>
<li>Familiarity with private school safety practices and emergency response protocols in North Carolina</li>
<li>Strong organizational, communication, and training skills</li>
<li>Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, administrators, students, and families</li>
</ul>
