About the Role

Range is hiring a Content Marketing Manager to work shoulder-to-shoulder with our content team across our three biggest growth channels: newsletter, Instagram, and webinars. You'll research, write, produce, and ship — partnering with the team to grow our audience through sharp operations and steady production.

You won't run a lane in isolation. You'll act like an owner inside a small, fast team where AI fluency, journalistic instincts, and operational discipline are non-negotiable.

This position is based in McLean, Virginia. Employees hired for this role will work in office Monday–Friday. If you are not currently located in this area, your willingness to relocate will be a contingency for employment.

What You'll Do With Us

  • Work in AI every day. We run the entire content team in Claude Cowork — research, drafting, editing, repurposing, ideation, audience analysis, and asset production. AI isn't a tool you reach for occasionally; it's the operating environment. If AI isn't already core to how you work, this role won't be a fit.

  • Be self-sufficient with assets. You build your own social graphics, thumbnails, slides, and visual content using AI tools. No briefing a designer for every asset, no waiting in queue. If you can describe it, you can ship it.

  • Support newsletter production and growth. Partner on research, drafting, editing, scheduling, and performance review for our weekly cadence — and help us grow it into a top-tier wealth newsletter through smart operations, subscriber acquisition tactics, and repurposing across channels.

  • Support webinar production and growth. Partner end-to-end: webinar calendar management, slide building, landing page copy, registration and reminder emails, day-of execution, post-event follow-up, and turning each event into 4–6 pieces of repurposed content. Webinars are a primary growth engine — you help keep them running and expand reach.

  • Support Instagram production and growth. Research what's hitting in fintech, finance Twitter/X, wealth management TikTok, and finance YouTube — and translate it for Instagram. Produce social copy, graphics, and short-form video alongside the team. Help us grow followers, engagement, and saves through operational rigor and trend awareness. As we expand to additional social channels, you'll grow with us.

  • Help grow our audiences across all three channels. Every piece of content is an audience lever. You think about what gets shared, what gets saved, and what brings new subscribers in — and partner with the team to scale what works.

  • Pitch in on video. Capture clips, basic edits, prep assets for our editor. Willing to learn the basics if you don't have them yet.

  • Act like an owner. Range is small, fast, and lean. No layers above you, no process to hide behind. See something broken, fix it, ship it.

What Will Set You Apart

  • 5–7 years of professional writing or content marketing experience, with at least 2 as a reporter, editor, staff writer, or producer at a publication.

  • 2+ years in-house at a company (not agency or freelance) — you act like an owner inside a team.

  • Daily AI fluency. Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Descript are already part of how you work — not experiments, not curiosity. You can show how AI has changed your output, including how you build skills to operate like a team on your own.

  • Sharp eye for what's resonating on Instagram and adjacent platforms — you can talk credibly about creators, formats, and trends in finance, business, or adjacent verticals.

  • Demonstrated experience producing across newsletter, social, or live event formats.

  • A portfolio that shows speed and range, not just polish.

Nice to Haves

  • 1+ year producing content about personal finance, investing, fintech, or wealth management.

  • Newsletter production experience (Beehiiv, Substack, ConvertKit, Mailchimp).

  • Webinar or live event production experience (calendar management, slide building, registration flows).

  • Hands-on audience growth track record (newsletter subscribers, Instagram followers, webinar registrants).

  • Basic video editing (Premiere, CapCut, Descript).

  • Comfort on camera, or coaching others to be.

  • Zero ego.
