About the Role

<p>&nbsp;</p> <div id="isPasted"> <div> <p>Job Title: Medical Assistant</p> <p>Position Type: Full Time</p> <p>Travel: Yes, regional travel as needed to the Brooksville offices.</p> <p>Job Description: To assist the Provider in providing the utmost direct/indirect quality care to patients with the end goal of making patients feel as if they are family.</p> <p>Role and Responsibilities</p> <p><strong>Clinical and Administrative</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prepare and maintain examination and treatment areas</li> <li>Assist with examinations, invasive and non-invasive procedures or treatments</li> <li>Apply principles of aseptic technique and infection control</li> <li>Comply with quality assurance practices</li> <li>Screen and follow up on patients test results</li> <li>Collect and process specimens; log specimens</li> <li>Perform diagnostic tests if applicable</li> <li>Obtain patient medical history and vitals</li> <li>Prepare and administer medication (excludes controlled drugs)</li> <li>Maintain accurate medication records</li> <li>Recognize and respond to emergencies</li> <li>Call or enter in prescriptions per physicians orders</li> <li>Maintain drug sample supply on hand. Medical assistant diploma and certification preferred.
