In this role, you will be responsible to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Build and run Workato’s global developer community programs: launch and scale hundreds of local developer user groups, a world‑class MVP / Champions program, and university &amp; student outreach initiatives.</p> </li> <li> <p>Design and maintain the supporting systems, tooling, and analytics that power self‑service growth.</p> </li> <li> <p>Recruit, onboard, and mentor community leaders and champions, providing resources, recognition, and incentives to sustain long‑term engagement.</p> </li> <li> <p>Launch ambassador and champions programs; recognize and reward top contributors.</p> </li> <li> <p>Design and execute community strategy across Discord, GitHub, Reddit, X/Twitter, and in‑person meetups.</p> </li> <li> <p>Moderate online forums, surface insights, and route feedback to Product &amp; Engineering.</p> </li> <li>Build relationships within the San Francisco AI community and host events and activations in our SF hub.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <h1><strong>Requirements</strong></h1> <h3><strong>Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <p>Experience working in both a startup environment and matrixed organization.&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p>5 + years building and nurturing developer communities from zero to scale.</p> </li> <li> <p>5 + years of hands‑on programmatic marketing, including segmentation, automation, and lifecycle campaigns.</p> </li> <li> <p>Direct, end‑to‑end experience planning and executing in‑person and virtual events</p> </li> <li>Must be local to San Francisco and willing to operate in our San Francisco office</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Soft Skills / Personal Characteristics</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <p>Strong written voice and conflict‑resolution skills.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong operational approach with metrics, structured processes, and holding teams accountable.</p> </li> <li> <p>Empathetic community builder who nurtures inclusive spaces.</p> </li> </ul> <p>For California applicants, the pay for this role begins at $186,000 plus variable, benefits, perks and equity.</p> <h4>(REQ ID: 2137)</h4>
