These accolades highlight our dedication to being a leading brand in the beauty industry and an exceptional workplace. </div><h3>What You’ll Do</h3> The Manager, Package Development is a hands-on technical leader responsible for driving packaging development for the body, hair, and lip categories from concept through commercialization. This role partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver innovative, high-quality, and scalable packaging solutions that meet brand, cost, supply chain, and sustainability goals.  In addition to leading new development projects, this role will support selected technical transfers, cost savings, and continuous improvement initiatives. <h3> </h3> <h3>What You’ll Be Working On</h3> <ul> <li>Lead end-to-end packaging development for new product launches from feasibility through commercialization </li> <li>Develop scalable, supply-chain-efficient packaging solutions aligned with brand, operational, cost, and quality objectives </li> <li>Support risk assessments, feasibility reviews, and technical recommendations to support project decision-making </li> <li>Own packaging specifications, testing, validation, and documentation to ensure robust execution and launch readiness </li> <li>Support technical transfers between suppliers, manufacturing sites, or regions as needed </li> <li>Assist with troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of packaging-related issues </li> <li>Support ESG-related initiatives within Package Development, including sustainability improvements, material optimization, and data gathering for EPR reporting </li> <li>Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across processes, testing standards, supplier strategies, and cost-savings initiatives </li> <li>Collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to align technical requirements, testing, and execution </li> <li>Identify opportunities to enhance accuracy, speed-to-market, technical rigor, and sustainability outcomes </li> </ul>   <h3>Must Haves</h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred </li> <li>5+ years of packaging development experience, with strong preference for experience in the body care, hair, and/or lip categories </li> <li>Proven experience leading packaging projects from concept through commercialization </li> <li>Strong understanding of packaging materials, componentry, testing, and supplier capabilities </li> <li>Experience working with contract manufacturers and global suppliers </li> <li>Exposure to sustainability or ESG initiatives preferred </li> </ul>   <h3>How You’ll Know You’re a Fit</h3> <ul> <li>Strong technical judgment and problem-solving skills </li> <li>Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment </li> <li>Clear, confident communicator who can influence without direct authority </li> <li>High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail </li> <li>Collaborative mindset with the ability to partner effectively across functions </li> <li>Comfortable navigating ambiguity and balancing speed with rigor </li> </ul>   #LI-Hybrid<div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">Salary Range</div><div class="pay-range">$100,000—$120,000 USD</div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><h3>Why Sol de Janeiro?</h3> <ul> <li>Competitive salary and bonus program for full-time team members</li> <li>Flexible hybrid work environment with opportunities for collaboration and growth</li> <li>Inclusive culture that values diverse perspectives and celebrates individuality</li> <li>The chance to be part of a fast-growing, award-winning global beauty brand</li> </ul>  The information contained herein is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee, as these may change or new ones may be assigned at any time.  Sol de Janeiro is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
