Through our value-driven, consumer-centric approach, we are committed to transforming healthcare and creating a better care experience for all.</p></div><p><strong>Clinic Location: 612 S State Rd 7, Margate, FL 33068</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>JOB SUMMARY&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>The Phlebotomist is responsible for drawing blood on patients at the clinic and ensuring samples are sent to outside medical labs for processing.</p> <p><strong>DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <p>The Phlebotomist job description is intended to point out major responsibilities within the role, but it is not limited to these items.</p> <ul> <li>Preparing patients before drawing blood</li> <li>Explaining blood draw procedures to patients and answering any questions about the process</li> <li>Following all health and safety protocols and procedures to maintain sanitary work areas.</li> <li>Gathering medical testing materials, including needles, sample vials, blood storage bags and test tubes</li> <li>Verifying patient information and labeling blood samples properly</li> <li>Accurately updating patient information in the organization’s database</li> <li>Helping nervous or frightened patients remain calm during blood draws.</li> <li>Working with supervising physicians and always following their directions.</li> <li>Submit electronic requests to labs. Uploading results included.</li> <li>Correct issues should they arise with relation to lab portal.</li> <li>Travel&nbsp;to clinics within the region as needed for business operation or staffing coverage requirements.</li> </ul> <p><strong>EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <ul> <li>1year minimum experience working as a phlebotomist in a clinic or laboratory setting.</li> <li>High school degree or GED equivalent</li> <li>Certification or accreditation from a phlebotomy vocational school</li> </ul> <p><strong>PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Excellent communication skills.</li> <li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.</li> <li>Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Attention to detail.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><div>As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we welcome and employ a diverse employee group committed to meeting the needs of NeueHealth, our consumers, and the communities we serve.
