As Waymo's Electrical Infrastructure Delivery Engineer you will be responsible for site due diligence on electrical infrastructure and utility requirements for all real estate transactions and In partnership with the Pre-construction team and consultants, contribute to initial CapEx costs and schedules for sites in an extremely fast paced environment with a high degree of ambiguity. At every turn, process excellence, collaboration, and detailed cross-org communications are critical.</p> <p><em>This role follows a hybrid work schedule and reports to the Head of Project Delivery.</em></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>You will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Conduct due diligence on electrical infrastructure and utility requirements for all real estate transactions and In partnership with the Pre-construction team and consultants, contribute to initial CapEx costs and schedules for sites. Provide clear, concise and data driven recommendations to aid the Real Estate team selection of site(s)</li> <li>Oversee the design and implementation of electrical systems for new Waymo facilities and upgrades to existing ones</li> <li>Develop and maintain Waymo's electrical engineering standards and specifications for real estate projects</li> <li>Prepare load studies and calculations as a Subject Matter Expert to determine the electrical capabilities of a potential site</li> <li>Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Real Estate, Construction, Operations) to define electrical requirements and integrate them into overall project plans</li> <li>Evaluate new electrical technologies and materials for potential application in Waymo's real estate portfolio</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>You have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required or higher education in electrical engineering or equivalent years of experience</li> <li>10+ years experience of increasing responsibility in design of EV charging, industrial, critical redundancy sites, lab and office projects</li> <li>Robust knowledge of site utilities, due diligence, preconstruction in industrial asset types</li> <li>Working knowledge and familiarity of facility systems such as Mechanical (HVAC) systems, Plumbing and Process systems, transformer equipment, emergency power supply (generators), Control Systems and life safety systems, construction drawings, and permit packages</li> <li>Strong analytical skills with ability to provide clear recommendations and solutions</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal skills and experience creating business cases for funding approvals</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>We prefer:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Master’s degree</li> <li>Engineering License: P.E.</li> <li>Professional certifications: PMP</li> <li>Experience with autonomous vehicle (AV) infrastructure or related advanced technology projects</li> <li>Knowledge of sustainable design principles and practices in electrical engineering</li> <li>Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Travel Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Up 25% Travel Time&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the role location or, if the role can be performed remote, the specific salary range for your preferred location, during the hiring process.&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Waymo employees are also eligible to participate in Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.&nbsp;</span></p></div><div class="title">Salary Range</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$152,000</span><span class="divider">&mdash;</span><span>$187,000 USD</span></div></div></div>
