This role serves as the organization’s subject-matter expert in electrical utility engineering and supports division-wide growth, client expansion, and operational excellence.</p> <p><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead business development efforts for utility electrical engineering services.&nbsp;</li> <li>Identify, pursue, and secure new opportunities in Transmission and Distribution (T&amp;D), substations, and utilities.&nbsp;</li> <li>Build, maintain, and expand relationships with utilities, developers, contractors, and strategic partners.&nbsp;</li> <li>Lead the technical strategy for pursuits, proposals, RFP responses, scopes, and capture plans.&nbsp;</li> <li>Support the growth of major utility accounts and long-term contract programs.&nbsp;</li> <li>Represent the firm in client meetings, industry events, and business development activities.&nbsp;</li> <li>Serve as the technical authority for electrical utility engineering.&nbsp;</li> <li>Direct the electrical engineering design, studies, and analysis for substations, transmission, and distribution systems.&nbsp;</li> <li>Oversee the quality, budget, and schedule performance of electrical engineering deliverables.&nbsp;</li> <li>Review and approve calculations, plans, specifications, studies, and reports.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ensure compliance with client standards and applicable codes, including NEC, NESC, NFPA, and IEEE requirements.&nbsp;</li> <li>Lead the development of electrical engineering standards, procedures, and quality programs.&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborate with project managers, market leaders, chief engineers, business development directors, and VPs on delivery strategies and execution.&nbsp;</li> <li>Support contract administration, scope development, requests for information (RFIs), and engineering change management.&nbsp;</li> <li>Mentor engineering staff to strengthen technical capabilities across the team.&nbsp;</li> <li>Drive innovation, standardization, and continuous improvement in tools, workflows, and delivery practices.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications: </strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>BS. in Electrical Engineering required; advanced degree preferred.</li> <li><strong>PE license required</strong>; NCEES Record preferred.</li> <li>10–15+ years of electrical engineering experience required.</li> <li>Strong utility and power delivery experience required.</li> <li>Significant experience in substations, transmission, and distribution systems required.</li> <li>Strong business development experience required, including proposals, RFP strategy, technical scoping, and client relationship management.</li> <li>Demonstrated success supporting or growing major utility contracts and programs.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of protection engineering and control &amp; integration engineering services.</li> <li>Proficiency with applicable engineering and study tools such as ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, CYME, CYMCAP, PowerWorld, XGSLab, CDEGS, and PLS-CADD, as applicable.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including NEC, IEC, IEEE, NFPA, NETA, and client-specific utility standards.</li> <li>Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.</li> <li>Strong understanding of project delivery, contract administration, and technical proposal strategy.</li> </ul> <p style="line-height: 1.5;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="line-height: 1.5;">#LI-DL3</p>
