Reporting to the Technical Revenue Accounting Manager, this&nbsp;individual will be responsible for the accurate and timely recognition of revenue across&nbsp;our diverse portfolio of product and service contracts, with a strong emphasis on Product,&nbsp;Subscription (Lease), and Maintenance contracts.</p> <h3>ABOUT THE JOB</h3> <p>The Senior Revenue Accountant will leverage Oracle Fusion Projects to manage the end-to-end project accounting lifecycle, including contract review, fulfillment, cutoff, allocation of revenue according to ASC 606, and evaluating the appropriate revenue recognition model to apply (point-in-time versus over time. This individual will act as a key liaison, bridging the gap between Business Line FP&amp;A teams and Corporate Accounting to ensure financial results accurately reflect project execution and strategy.</p> <p><strong>WHAT YOU’LL DO</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work with Technical Accounting to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with ASC 606 for new and modified customer contracts.</li> <li>Perform technical assessments to determine the appropriate timing and method of revenue recognition, with a strong focus on *transfer of control* for both product sales (e.g., shipment, customer acceptance) and service delivery (e.g., over time,&nbsp;milestones).</li> <li>Evaluate and determine Standalone Selling Price (SSP) for use in the allocation of contract pricing to performance obligations.</li> <li>Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams on revenue recognition matters, including contract review, revenue forecasting, and deal structuring. This role requires collaboration with Program Managers, Finance Program Analysts, and various other departments.</li> <li>Execute revenue close procedures efficiently and accurately within tight monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines.</li> <li>Monitor contract funding, limits, modifications, closeouts, and progress to completion, to ensure accurate revenue recognition.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies.</li> <li>Collaborate with Project Management, Contracts, and Pricing teams to understand&nbsp;contract terms and conditions, and provide guidance on revenue recognition&nbsp;impacts.</li> <li>Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making&nbsp;by senior management and FP&amp;A.</li> <li>Prepare and review complex revenue journal entries, ensuring proper classification&nbsp;and supporting documentation.</li> <li>Look around the corner to mitigate future potential issues and mitigate actual issues&nbsp;with optimized processes and controls.</li> <li>Support internal and external audit requests, including DCAA audits, by providing&nbsp;detailed documentation and explanations.</li> <li>Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the revenue&nbsp;accounting cycle to enhance efficiency and accuracy.</li> <li>Act as a power user of our ERP system (Oracle Fusion Cloud) for all revenue-related&nbsp;activities, including contract setup, project accounting, product and service pricing,&nbsp;and contract asset / liability accounting.</li> </ul> <h4>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</h4> <ul> <li> <div class="textLayer" data-main-rotation="0">Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.</div> </li> <li> <div class="textLayer" data-main-rotation="0">3+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting, with significant exposure to ASC 606.</div> </li> <li> <div class="textLayer" data-main-rotation="0">Demonstrated experience with government contracting, including product, service, leasing, and maintenance contract accounting is strongly preferred.</div> </li> <li> <div class="textLayer" data-main-rotation="0">Hands-on experience with a large-scale ERP system (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and its Project Accounting functionalities.
