This position provides technical expertise for critical network infrastructure. Our customer is the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and acts as the provider of GIG/Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to its customers, the department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations. This position directly supports&nbsp;the DISA-provided GIG capabilities and services in the 24x7 DISA Global Operations Center (DGOC). &nbsp;</p> <p><em>(This role is considered "Mission Essential" and may require supporting rotating involves shift work, which includes nights and weekends.)</em>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Execute network operations to include analysis of customer traffic across the MPLS and JRSS&nbsp;infrastructure.&nbsp;</li> <li>Perform real-time customer failover to restore services during scheduled and unscheduled outages and maintenance actions.&nbsp;</li> <li>Work directly with supported customers and peers to ensure maximum network availability to minimize or eliminate mission and operational impact.</li> <li>Proactively monitor network alarms across platform specific network management tools.</li> <li>Perform a variety of change management tasks which include hardware replacement, software configurations, and ASI management.&nbsp;</li> <li>Utilize incident management applications to document all aspects of reported outages/degradations, isolations, escalations, and resolutions during the lifecycle of a service impacting network incident.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li> <li>Assess and identify resolutions to various network incidents and/or deficiencies leveraging knowledge in one or more of following: routers, switches, routing protocols, MPLS, VPN technologies, IDS/IPS, proxies, packet capture, network taps, load balancing, firewalls, out-of-band management.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h2>&nbsp;Minimum Qualifications:</h2> </div> </div> </div> <div class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoMsg_Job"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Container"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Text"> <ul> <li>U.S. Citizenship.</li> <li>An active, in-scope US Government issued <strong>Secret</strong>&nbsp;clearance.</li> <li>Current DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE, or equivalent).</li> <li>2-4 yrs of recent and relevant technical experience.</li> <li>Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management.</li> <li>Expertise in one or more of the following: routers, switches, routing protocols, CISCO, Juniper, MPLS.</li> <li>General understanding of network topologies.</li> <li>Ability to work in a 24/7 shift work environment.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> </div> </div> </div> <h2 class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoField_Job">Desired Qualifications:</h2> <div class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoMsg_Job"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Container"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Text"> <ul> <li>Tech control facility or cyber transport experience</li> <li>Circuit actions and vendor experience &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li> <li>IP architecture experience</li> <li>Telco NOC, inside or outside plant experience.</li> <li>Experience with MS Office suite, i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, TEAMs</li> <li>Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management, change management.</li> <li>Any additional certifications to include: CCNA, JNCIA-Junos, F5 Networks Certified Technical Specialist, ITILv4.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> </div> </div> </div> <h2 class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoField_Job">Education:</h2> <ul> <li>&nbsp;A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required.</li> </ul>
