Brazil Pitching Coach at Major League Baseball

This role requires a strong background in baseball, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders in a start-up environment.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Responsibilities</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Train pitchers at the MLB/Brazil Baseball Federation academy, working with various parties to implement effective short- and long-term strategies for participating athletes</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Foster strong communication and relationships between MLB, the Brazil Baseball Federation, Driveline, and local coaching staff to ensure coordination and buy-in across groups</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Incorporate and monitor player development technology to track and communicate player progress</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Work with MLB and the Brazil Baseball Federation on special projects designed to grow baseball across Brazil as assigned</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Qualifications &amp; Skills</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Experience coaching pitchers and working with baseball technology required; experience playing is a plus</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Willingness to work on-site in Brazil for most of the year required for at least two years</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Proficiency in either English or Spanish required; proficiency in Portuguese is a plus</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><em>Provided</em></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Housing and flights</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Visa-related fees, if necessary</span></li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Why MLB?</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Major League Baseball (MLB) is the most historic of the major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada.
