You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to navigate complex legal matters, manage risk, and help scale our legal function as the company continues to grow. We deliver a high volume of work in a short period of time and the ability to comprehend issues and risks quickly will be an important skill, as well as the ability to communicate related risks clearly to decision makers. The ability to quickly provide solutions and options is highly valued.</li> <li>Anticipate, provide timely evaluation and guidance on, and propose mitigation strategies on, potential risks in contractual, privacy, compliance, financial, and legal areas.</li> <li>Develop and provide education and training to the Sales team, as well as other teams as needed.</li> <li>Assist counsel with corporate governance matters on an as-needed basis.</li> <li>May need to manage other areas of the business such as HR and insurance.</li> </ul> <div style="height: 2px; background-color: #3b4ea6; margin: 0 0 24px 0;">&nbsp;</div> <h2 style="font-size: 18px !important; font-weight: 800; color: #3b4ea6; letter-spacing: 2px; margin: 0 0 8px 0;">What You'll Bring</h2> <div style="height: 1px; background-color: #e5e7eb; margin: 0 0 14px 0;">&nbsp;</div> <ul style="margin: 0 0 16px 0; padding-left: 20px; font-size: 14px !important; color: #000000;"> <li>JD from an accredited law school.</li> <li>5-8 years of experience working both at a law firm and in-house, preferably in technology and/or digital media companies.</li> <li>Current member in good standing of the California or New York bar.</li> <li>Experience in legal operations/automation, commercial transactions, privacy, data licensing, and product.</li> <li>Experience in commercial sales transactions and revenue deals, preferably with a large company or firm.</li> <li>Experience negotiating and drafting commercial transactions with large media companies (agencies, programmers, and/or distributors) and television publishers.</li> <li>Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in interactions with customers, partners, and all levels of employees.</li> <li>Confident understanding of contracts.</li> <li>Knowledgeable about data privacy law and experience reviewing DPAs and data license agreements. Experience implementing data privacy programs and processes in-house and project managing privacy matters.</li> <li>Be the state privacy knowledgeable attorney for the commercial team for general privacy related questions.</li> <li>Ability to work well with others, curious, super-smart, passionate about what you do and fired up about the opportunity ahead for VideoAmp.
