Physician at ConvenientMD serve as a clinical leader, mentor, and supervising provider, ensuring exceptional patient care, supporting Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and helping to maintain the highest standards of clinical excellence and compliance. This role is ideal for a physician who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, values mentorship, and is passionate about delivering accessible, high-quality care to the communities we serve. <h3>Your Impact </h3> <ul> <li>Deliver Exceptional Patient-Centered Care <ul> <li>Perform comprehensive evaluations including history, physical examination, and medical decision-making.</li> <li>Diagnose and manage acute illness and injury across the urgent care spectrum.</li> <li>Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic testing (e.g., x-rays, EKGs, laboratory studies).</li> <li>Perform in-office procedures including wound repair, incision and drainage, splinting, joint injections, and other urgent care procedures.</li> <li>Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans aligned with current clinical standards and best practices.</li> <li>Ensure efficient, high-quality, and compassionate patient experiences.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Serve as Registered Supervising Physician <ul> <li>Provide physician oversight in accordance with state regulations and governing board requirements.</li> <li>Collaborate with and supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.</li> <li>Be available for clinical consultation as required by law and company policy.</li> <li>Participate in chart review and quality assurance processes as applicable.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with all supervisory agreements and documentation standards.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Clinical Leadership & Mentorship <ul> <li>Act as the clinical leader within the clinic, especially in the absence of the Practice Manager.</li> <li>Mentor and support new-graduate and experienced APPs.</li> <li>Serve as a clinical resource for nursing and allied health staff.</li> <li>Promote a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.</li> <li>Participate in onboarding, training, and ongoing education initiatives.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Documentation & Compliance <ul> <li>Maintain complete, accurate, and timely medical documentation in the EMR.</li> <li>Ensure adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable federal and state regulations.</li> <li>Uphold infection-control standards and clinic safety protocols.</li> <li>Stay current on evolving legislation, clinical guidelines, and professional standards.</li> <li>Support quality improvement initiatives and risk management efforts.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Collaborative Care <ul> <li>Work closely with clinic staff to ensure coordinated, thoughtful, and timely patient dispositions—including transfers when appropriate.</li> <li>Partner with operational leadership to optimize workflow, patient throughput, and clinical outcomes.</li> <li>Contribute to a respectful, team-based environment grounded in professionalism and shared purpose.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <h3>Who You Are </h3> <ul> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="2" data-list-defn-props="{"335552541":1,"335559685":720,"335559991":360,"469769226":"Symbol","469769242":[8226],"469777803":"left","469777804":"","469777815":"hybridMultilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="1" data-aria-level="1">Education, Licensure, & Certifications: <ul> <li>Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).</li> <li>Board Certified by the applicable governing board (e.g., ABEM, ABFM, ABIM or other relevant specialty board).</li> <li>Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.</li> <li>Eligible and willing to serve as a Registered Supervising Physician in accordance with state requirements.</li> <li>Active, unrestricted DEA registration.</li> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification.
