<p><strong>Compensation:</strong> Competitive base salary + performance-based commission</p>

<h3><strong>Job purpose</strong></h3>
<p>Drives business growth by expanding our merchant footprint, building high-value customer relationships, and introducing financial solutions tailored to local business needs. This role is responsible for end-to-end merchant acquisition, terminal deployment, and account retention across assigned commercial areas.</p>
<h3><strong>Key responsibilities</strong></h3>
<p>→ Identify, visit, and onboard prospective merchants through field engagement, referrals, and local trade community outreach.</p>
<p>→ Educate business owners on Moniepoint’s suite of products, recommending solutions that match their operational and growth goals.</p>
<p>→ Achieve and exceed monthly targets for active merchant onboarding, terminal deployment, loan disbursements, and repayments.</p>
<p>→ Oversee end-to-end merchant onboarding, ensuring accurate KYC documentation and strict adherence to operational SOPs and regulatory guidelines.</p>
<p>→ Build and nurture long-term relationships with merchants to encourage account activity, high transaction volume, and ongoing retention.</p>
<p>→ Conduct transparent discussions on pricing, terms, and agreements within established company guidelines to build trusted partnerships.</p>
<p>→ Serve as the primary point of contact for customer queries, resolving issues promptly or escalating complex operational needs appropriately.</p>
<p>→ Gather local market intelligence and competitor activity, providing actionable feedback to field leadership to help refine growth tactics.</p>
<p>→ Maintain accurate pipeline records and submit timely field performance reports using CRM tools.</p>
<h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3>
<p>→ Bachelor’s degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from a recognised tertiary institution.</p>
<p>→ 2 to 4 years of hands-on sales experience, preferably within banking, fintech, payment services, or fast-moving commercial environments.</p>
<p>→ Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets in merchant onboarding, field sales, or client acquisition.</p>
<p>→ Deep understanding of the local financial services landscape and regional trading dynamics.</p>
<p>→ Strong communication and customer relationship skills.</p>

<h3><strong>Preferred qualifications</strong></h3>
<p>→ Practical experience with POS terminal deployment, payment acquiring, or business loan products.</p>
<p>→ Proficiency in CRM software for field tracking, pipeline management, and activity reporting.</p>
