<p><strong>About the Position</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking talented and highly motivated individuals with a strong background in synthetic organic chemistry to join our medicinal chemistry group in the pursuit of novel small molecules to treat patients with unmet medical needs. The successful candidate will engage in rational structure-based drug discovery enabled by our computational and structural biology group. Specifically, this individual will design and synthesize novel chemical entities optimized for potency, selectivity, pharmacokinetics and in vivo efficacy. As members of a dynamic multi-disciplinary project team, this person will collaborate with a broad group of scientists within Nurix and with external collaborators. Additionally, they will contribute effectively to patent, report and scientific publication writing.</p>

<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<p>· BS or MS in degree with 8+ years pharmaceutical medicinal chemistry industrial experience; or a Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry with 6+ years pharmaceutical medicinal chemistry industrial experience.</p>
<p>· Deep expertise in synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry, with a strong track record of creatively solving complex synthetic and medicinal chemistry challenges to advance discovery programs.</p>
<p>· Proven application of structure-based drug design and molecular modeling, including effective use of cheminformatics, visualization, and conformational analysis tools, in close collaboration with computational chemists to advance leads and deliver development candidates.</p>
<p>· Strong understanding of drug discovery principles, including SAR, ADME, pharmacology, and target biology, with the ability to integrate multidisciplinary data to drive programs through candidate selection.</p>
<p>· Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly present scientific rationale, key data, and program accomplishments to diverse audiences, while effectively gathering and synthesizing competitive intelligence from patents and scientific meetings.</p>
<p>· Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional settings as project lead or co-lead, with the ability to guide medicinal chemistry strategy and execution to achieve key project milestones.</p>
